2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

It baffles me why he hasn't used alternative formations. I think the only time I can remember us lining up with something other than the low block 4-4-1-1 was last season away at Villa (league cup) and away at Burnley (league) where we played a 3-5-1-1 and won both games. Not seen it since!
These are for teams who play football not dycheball…

I think there's 2 points to that:

1) The added cost of buying out their current contract might simply make it financially impossible (PSR etc)
2) Even with the recent changes of ownership and new stadium on its way, we're still currently an absolute clownshow of a club. Managers at more stable clubs might not be even slightly interested.
This is correct re manager in a position. We have limited room in the transfer window. To buy out the likes of Frank and his staff could be 15m now.

Also a lot of managers will want to see TFG in action. It has been a little messy since Jose left Roma.

Was waiting for the pathetic to pipe up.

Irrelevant kopite fanzine needs cancelling by any bluenose.
An absolutely nothing article that talks around a complete void of factual information.

There is never any insight or nugget of unique information from Boyland and co, simpering away on video calls with nothing to say that isn't already news to the general fanbase.

Very harsh mate.

I agree that article feels a bit of a content filler - a lot of words just recycling what we already know, but they/he's done some excellent articles. As an example, I rarely share anything Everton to friends an family but I shared this one far and wide the other week because of the insight it give.

I don't think there's anyone out there better than what Paddy does for Everton coverage - I think you'd struggle to name anyone either, so perhaps we can be a little less critical.

Because he is stubborn, arrogant and limited. I agree though it does my head in he never changes the system or tries something like Ndiaye at ten for a run of games, what harm can it do to see? Harrison a left winger never played at left wing. Patterson an attacking full back never gets a go, four strikers and we never go two up front and on and on. That's why it will never change with him in charge.

I don't think psr is an issue, at this point it has become the boogyman. Our finances for this year will be minimal so it wouldn't impact us in any way, otherwise we also can't buy any players either which at some point stops being a realistic scenario!

Right now we have hit a reset button so all that came before doesn't matter anymore
I don't think a new stadium would mean anything to an incoming manager anyway.
And giving our current position it's not exactly the most attractive job in the world is it.
That's the reality unfortunately

Think bigger picture. We aren't chasing a top 4 manager so whoever we do target is the choice of the new owners. Therefore they will be backed to implement their stamp on the team , that is an exciting opportunity for any manager who isn't competing for/in champions league places.

This is a rare opportunity that I hope the new owners are taking advantage of rather than running down the moshiri shortlist given it's only Moyes left on that.

You are aware we're losing money hand over fist once transfers are excluded ?

I dont pay for it, but as above, hes decent for Everton news, its up to you, the people, to take it or leave it.

Is there news he gleans from the club or sources close to it to provide exclusive content - which is what I'd describe as proper journalism - or are they articles scrambled together synthesising other people's work that we should accept as a bare minimum from anyone being paid F/T to write about Everton?
