2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

The basic facts seem to be he was offered support with new players from TFG but not necessarily a contact extension, his response was either to offer his resignation or basically say no. To be honest he was verging on insanity with some of his last media appearances, quite obviously wasn't enjoying the job anymore.

Done well last season and gave me the best match I've been to with that derby result, but we'd run out of steam.

Quite a few posts talking about being grateful for dyches work and I'm a little bored of the media narrative that he was doing a good job.

I'm as grateful for dyche as I am for Doucoure's goal that kept us up. Both important in a moment of need but neither the answer for us moving forward.

Felt a bit harsh writing this about Douc as he does try and unlike some other players (and dyche for that matter) seems to care about being here.
It’s crazy. After the Bournemouth game, they were all literally going on about how we are the worse in the league for all these different metrics and making a deal about how crap we are etc, and now it’s straight back to how good a job he was doing.

It's from before his time here - and he's never had a problem with the fans. He's always said he's not had a problem with the fans ever since he's been here.

Very passive/aggressive approach. If ever questioned about results or performances his response was always the same. Its what went on before. If the fans didnt like the football then basically it was tough. Nothing he could do about it.
I'd say he never had a problem with the fans because he came over as quite arrogant.

So if he said to TFG his race was run and they apparently sacked him, does that infer he asked for funds and the request was turned down ? Just generalising, putting 2 and 2 together and getting 22 but Dyche doesn't seem the type to just give up without a fight.

This is the fella who was talking us back into a relegation battle in pre season.

Never made an effort to build any sort of rapport.

From the beginning it was "I don't have a problem with the fans."

Which means, as we all know, "I don't like the fans."

They were gonna back him in January and he told them he thought he'd taken it as far as he could go with it, so they had no choice to fire him. Hearing he'd been feeling like that for a while.

So balls to him.

Apparently from The Guardian for those thinking that TFG acted harshly @davek

Well Dyche can sue for libellous claims now can’t he, if none of that is true. Be watching that one with interest.
I'll be watching with interest too. No doubt the TFG cowards are handing their arse wipes Joyce, O'Keeffe and Boyland their prepared retaliatory statement to respond to any such claims from Dyche.

I heard that he lost the dressing room and the lads were all talking about him behind his back, calling him horrible nicknames, and making fun of him.

Has anyone asked for this to be put in World Football yet?

Whilst not as bad as the fsw, gravy guts or Walker, he will not have a lasting legacy here I hope.
