Still cant believe this little snot coward threw in the towel.

What an utter fraud he is.

Hes gonna be out and about making out hes some Alpha male, when in reality hes a little ferret who quit the biggest job he will ever have after crapping the bed.

He couldn't cope with the press questioning why he didn't have a striker coach, what was he trying to do differently, why certain players weren't getting chances whilst others were.

He knew he was running out of excuses

Good riddance- I have mixed feelings on DM as a replacement- but surely his experience should serve up better football than hoofball from Dyche ..

Worse still, he threw in the towel but didn't have the decency to resign and miss out on his remaining fat paychecks.

Again, when people say things like 'I would guess' and 'I doubt' it is generally an indication that they are giving an opinion rather than claiming something is a fact. I know such self awareness is in short supply on here, but I find it works for me.

To be fair as well, it could have gone many ways. The key bit isn't the speculative situation you outlined, but to point out there is probably a lot more to it than him simply saying he couldn't do it.

I suspect it may have been a leading question.

Not so much that they've said there won't be any new players at all but yes I would guess that this is closer to the truth than what is currently being reported. I doubt that it's quite as simple as Dyche saying 'I've had enough, I can't be bothered anymore' to his boss but expecting to continue being paid/get a lump sum anyway, and more likely that there's been a conversation about how he needs to get more out of what he's got and basically said 'I don't think I can'. The club have understandably decided that's not an acceptable answer, and have spun the story as him giving up and them being unexpectedly forced to act in order to explain why they made a bit of a mess of how things panned out. All pretty par for the course in these things really, as are the inevitable 'the players hated him because he wouldn't let them eat chips' type articles that will no doubt come out over the next day or two.

sure dyche will have his say

doesn’t matter he wasn’t up to his job that’s the bottom line

Exactly. Obviously I’m guessing as to the actual content but I genuinely didn’t realise there were still people who are naive enough to believe that stories like that are just an unbiased reporting of facts. There will absolutely have been more to the situation than the way it’s being framed currently, we can be sure of that.

I've seen it stated as like some masterstroke from TFG. Showing we are tough etc.

Personally I thought it lacked, especially the not thanking him bit. I also wonder if they set him up a bit.

As you say, a broader conversation about where he thinks he can take the team next can be a much broader point.

Like I found the bit where they have said they "backed him initially" a bit odd too. Like where? What comment was made? You mean you have him backed for 4 games?

TFG are in. Honeymoon period, but the comms don't wholly stack up for me.
