It would be a ridiculous decision but I don't think it would happen. When MSP come on board I imagine the first thing they will insist on is stability rather than rolling the dice with one of Moshiri's maverick ideas. They are said to be into the data driven side of sport and any delve into the numbers since Dyche came in, whether its points per game, XG or chance creation or whatever, show great improvement, even if some fans haven't taken to him. I think they will see progress and want it to continue.
Right, so if they look at all the data, why on Earth would they retain him when our metrics are probably rock bottom?

Baffled by why so many want to keep this fella, hes won 4 whole games....................

He did take over captaining the Titanic after the iceberg hit, and hasn't exactly been furnished with many players of his choosing. If he can make it 5 wins on Sunday, we probably owe him at least a similar chance to that we afforded Lampard.

He's got this squad working and fighting. I like him. He had a right turd card dealt him.

He'll probably be booted. There are better managers out there. But if we are relegated he may be what we need.

Plus, well, he guarantees a good old fashioned GOT manager war. It's tradition.

Will be a close race between him and Lampard who gets the most points this season

People have already forgotten the shape we were in when Lampard got the bullet. Lampard had us on 0.75 PPG and Dyche has us at 1.05 PPG which isn't great but over a season it's the magic 40. With no additions to the playing squad.

Plus Dyche has had by some distance the worst of the fixtures: Bournemouth will be only the second home game Dyche has had against a bottom half side, the first being 3 points from Leeds. Those are the 9 games you are supposed to build your points total on and Lampard pissed most of them down the drain.

Lampard is the reason I dont think we should retain him.

At the end of the day hes only slightly improved us over who many will consider the worst manager in our recent history that wasnt a fat kopite.

It's a bloody low bar, and are we in the picture for a modern Moyes type to turn up with magic in his heels and a smart word to go with vastly improved football? The scar tissue of self inflicted injury of recent years is similar to that of the mid 90's when things were very bad. Healing the club with the phantom head locker lurking, the gravity of leaving Goodison, financial clouds circling, and a very knackered squad is a big task to take on.
Dyche has made some errors, but hasn't stubbornly stuck with them like frank did. Also tried the kid gloves with Cal-Lewin.

And there is the reason he shouldnt be retained.

People actually praising 1.05 PPG like its something to rejoice at.
BECAUSE LAMPARD WAS AT 0.75 FFS. He's got 40% more out of the same squad, that's not a slight improvement it's an enormous improvement and I don't see how any manager gets much more as an instant impact, without either a transfer window or a pre-season to sort it.

Yes, Lampard is a terrible manager but to turn around a team in the utter disarray he left it and get that much improvement (with harder fixtures) is great work, it really is. There is not much more anyone could do.

I'm not so sure mate, I domt really see a Dyche team going that far up the table. We will surely want to push on next season and hopefully try to get some good players in. Do you think Dyche can attract better players ?
Lampard could and look how that went.

We are miles away from pushing on. We need a couple of years of stability. It would be ridiculous to get rid of him.

So we probably will...
