BECAUSE LAMPARD WAS AT 0.75 FFS. He's got 40% more out of the same squad, that's not a slight improvement it's an enormous improvement and I don't see how any manager gets much more as an instant impact, without either a transfer window or a pre-season to sort it.

Yes, Lampard is a terrible manager but to turn around a team in the utter disarray he left it and get that much improvement (with harder fixtures) is great work, it really is. There is not much more anyone could do.

Lampard has 0.5 PPG at Chelsea.

If only he had Danjama

@Zatara

The manager is literally bottom of the list of priorities in terms of things that need addressing. He's done a decent job with not much to work with. And chances are next season there will be scarce resources too. So I'd rather someone like him than some flavour of the month manager that has come from some settled, well run team to this car crash club.

He did take over captaining the Titanic after the iceberg hit, and hasn't exactly been furnished with many players of his choosing. If he can make it 5 wins on Sunday, we probably owe him at least a similar chance to that we afforded Lampard.
The common acceptance when he started was if he can keep us up it would be a miracle and even if we went down he should remain to get us back up. He has us in pole position to stay up.

Your not baffed, your just thick.

Spot on. Onana and Pickford will go to raise funds. We have a number out of contract to free wages so Sean will have to buy about 6 15-20 mill players and create something. Ancelloti would not be doing that.

If someone had said to me 3 years ago you'll be planning around Sean Dyche i'd have been mortified.
3 years on the club has fell so much in every aspect its probably now acceptable.
I dont actually see any other alternative as things stand.

He is a needs to an end.

Ride out next season on a budget and once we can get past FFP and spend a few quid is time to get a new manager.
