Football Insider??
Normally I wouldn't give some random football website any credence on such things (after all, I'm sure they were Dyche's first call to tell the intricate details of his contract to as soon as he signed it) but it's not the first nor most recent to report the same thing, so wouldn't surprise me if they happened to get this one right.

With a bonus like that, you'd think the club could have got out of giving him another two years.
Manager sitting at home just chilling would of jumped at the chance of Everton saying 3.5m to keep us up then we will speak after the seasons finished.
He would of bit your hand off for that, but no we have to go and offer him an additional 2 years.

No guarantee another manager would have kept as up and look who leeds and leicester had to resort too

To be fair to him, we don’t need an all star manager at the moment.

We need to walk before we start running again.

Except we were manager-less when we went to Dyche offering a job. We weren't going to give Bielsa £11m to manage the kids and we were in no position to pay £5-10m compensation to club for a manager already in a job + the salaries and bonuses of the backroom on top. Dyche held the cards, and he is no mug. It's exactly why he stood firm on the 2.5 year contract and because the club needed him more than he needed us, he got exactly the contract he wanted.
