2022/23 Sean Dyche

I'd say it's a realistic expectation, mixed with the past two seasons denting the confidence in playing staff.
15th with safety confirmed by matchday 32/33 will be accepted by quite a few I dare say.
We’ve been safe for one game for entire last two seasoms, last match last season. I’d take two seasons. 10-15th comfortable. In a heartbeat

We wont go down with dyche not a chance

Might not be great eithet but give him full season and a striker im 99 % sure we wont be in a dog fight last few games of season

I agree. People lauding the job Hodgson did at Palace but in reality he just won the games against bottom 6/7 that Vieria probably would've done if he'd been given the chance.

Dyche if given some actual decent attackers should be more than capable of a no frills 45 points and 13th/14th. Was going to say that's what Palace managed in the end but they actually finished 11th on that points haul.

It's going to be a bottom half season next year yet again but you can at least be comfortable rather than just stuck in the bottom 6 places all season so let's hope it's in the manner of what Palace did.

Me too!

And I think Dyche is the man to be able to deliver 15th.

Had the season started on the day on which he took charge we would have finished 13th. And we had already played almost all the poor sides twice when he was appointed.

Deary me. Are you making fun of people who have brain injuries and the like mate?

Poor form.

Now, to go back to the quote in question you'll see I also said he may end up like Steve Bruce. So I took the polar extremes of managerial competence in a rhetorical flourish to make a point. I'd suggest the nuance is lost on you.

Let's take a look at some of your mensa level posting on Dyche and several other things while we are at it...

Bar one post in the midst of a ton of hysterics about Lampard, Dyche and relegation you said Dyche should stay if we stay up.

You're all over the shop man.

“For all the Allardyce doubters!!!!! 🤓🤓🤓
I told you so!!!!! 🤓🤓🤓🤓

You sure did @Mathieubleucoyb. You sure did. What a team and what a manager.

Ouch

Striker is the most important part he needs to address.

However...the defence is looking ropey.

Injury prone left and right backs, zero cover for either. And 1 good CB, one with potential...and 3 back ups who shouldn't be near the club.

I am so relieved that we avoided relegation. Along the way I completely lost faith, but what Dyche accomplished with these players and the toxic atmosphere is a minor miracle.

Dyche will now have a whole preseason where they will be trained on some clear principles, and not least I am sure that the physical form will be considerably better. I don't expect "tiki taka", but I am very sure that it will be painful to meet us next season.

If we get a season where we safely avoid relegation, are consistently solid and well organised, clean up player logistics and finances, then we are one step closer to a brighter future.

It is also worth remembering that under Dyche's direct football we created far more chances and goals than under Lampard's "between the lines" football. At the end of the day, goals are the pinnacle of football, and chances are the next best thing. Watching football players engage in passing drills during a match has rarely been entertaining.

The toxicity was for the board not Dyche or the team, they all knew that.

About managers and suchlike. I wonder how long it will take Postegoglue ? to realise he has jumped from the Celtic shallow end into the deepend at Spurs? Probably sacked by Christmas in time to save Ross County from relegation.

It’s a huge risk that’s for sure. Gerrard looked like the next big thing up in Scotland and we all know how that went! It wasn’t even how bad his Villa team was either, it was how much a good manager managed to improve them immediately to squeeze them into Europe when they looked to be in a relegation battle!
