*Everyone* would accept that...for another two seasons at least.

I have no idea how Everton supporters want to chance another relegation battle again after the last two seasons. They must be adreneline junkies.

Count me out. I'll sign up right now for 40 points and 16th for the next few seasons.
He gets 40 points and steadies the ship next season then great. After that he has to be pushing on and show he can bridge the gap to European places - otherwise it's change manager time (unless it's due to injuries/ being thrown under the bus by this sh@£house board).

Nil satis optimum. Dyche knows this and I suspect he will try to embody this too. I am fully in Dyche's supporters camp and I am hoping he'll succeed and be here along time. He's got a very difficult job though.

That's out the window without major funding.

Pie in the sky.

If he gets us safe by end of Easter in the next two seasons that'll be a hell of a job.

This

Right now it's about stability

40 points is job done for him with this current squad and our finances

Anything better than that is a bonus

Given him a grand for every point he finishes above 40 I say, he'll have earned it

For me, 40 points isn’t enough. He needs minimum 45. It’s only 3 more wins across the season.

If Lampard was that bad, then surely Dyche could have won 3 of the games lampard lost. I mean, there were enough people banging on about how Dyche was only left with difficult games while Lampard lost all the easy ones.

Just wondering what "present for the manager " we are getting this summer.

Jaffa boy....Rondon

Silva...Richarlison

Carlo....Hamez

Fat Sam....Walcott

Lampard ...Delli Ali

Dyche ?....shuddering to think.

Absolutely.

It's all about the funding now.

I mean, we have just offered contract extensions to Doucoure, Coleman, and Davies. With the best will in the world, are they the acts of a club that is going to be adequately funded this summer?

The plan has to be to stay securely in the PL and stabilise us to the point where midtable is an expectancy. Along the way to achieving that we have the no small task of bedding in a new stadium to make our home.

A takeover of huge proprtions could come along, given the huge interest PL clubs have now - especailly from the Middle East and US. We're the last north west giant overlooked for major investment, and that stadium will be a source of attraction. So that could expedite matters for us.

Its pie on the sky.
It will be a sell to buy summer. I expect Gomes to be back, Onana to be sold, Holgate into midfield where he has been used in training.
Branthwaite will be staring CB with Godfrey as the back up for the whole defence.

What money we do have will be spent up top and squad players.

without spending money, if he keeps us up it’s a miracle- no one should call for his head if he isn’t backed in the transfer market

Unfortunately, that's the most likely scenario. If this is the case, I don't see any better candidate to keep us up.

I'm hoping he does well, gets sufficiently backed by the club to enable progress and shows the way to a brighter future- alas that's just wishful thinking.

The three missing wins easily relate to Douc suspension … that cost us more than folks realise

This is only his third managers job, if he gets full support I can see him doing a similar job that Moyes did ,creating a good team spirit and finding the right players on a small budget. If he steadys the ship and avoids relegation fights I will be reasonably happy. Maybe a good cup run as well.
