We should have done what Bournemouth done thanks for keeping us up but you’re not the guy to take us forward so, laters.

…..makes it look a bit of a nonsense when posters say he doesn’t give youngsters an opportunity;

Just thinking out loud here.

Given that the club appears utterly leaderless, with God knows what going on behind the scenes, could Dyche be tempted away?

He kept us up and his reputation is enhanced in my eyes as a result.

With lots of work to be done would he walk if he thought he was wasting his time?
I wouldn't be at all surprised.

You wonder what it would take and what new low has to be reached, before heads are knocked together, preferably Moshiri and Kenwright's, and hard, to allow change to happen.

Either that, or MSP will pull out, which would be music to Bill's ears. Sod the club, sod the stadium, sod the squad, burn everything.

Dyche is exactly the kind of manager to say ‘if you’re good enough, you’re old enough’ but he will take mentality and ability to handle pressure into account.

Garner grinded it out in the Championship week in week out and looked resilient after a few average performance at the start of his Everton career but then really came good under Dyche. Maybe Simms didn’t get game time because he didn’t give Dyche the feeling he could hack the pressure. As much as I hated seeing Maupay or Gray lead the line at least he didn’t destroy a kid in the process.

After doing a great job with a garbage squad in keeping us up i hope he doesnt read this and the opinions of some of the so called Evertonians who want him gone and replaced by some sort of expansive football playing genius. Like who? Ffs back the guy this season and lets see where we end up instead of always crying and wanting something we are not getting.

And replace him with who???? He wasnt allowed to spend last window. So far no sign of anything this window. What mad really good manager is out there and can get a better tune out of the squad while being allowed to spend $0?

He is competent enough to steady us i feel. Cant be arsed with a new manager till we get to bmd and get more attractive.

And who knows maybe we won't even want a new manager even then.

Get behind him. Up the rational blues.
100% He was a nice surprise in that he didn’t sit back like Allardyce and actually showed that he could get some use out of otherwise useless players. Got the job done and deserves some backing. Some people didn’t like him when he signed up and are just sticking to their guns. He’ll have us comfortably safe next season if he’s allowed to add a few players which is all we can ask for after the last 2 years.

There are exceptions but he does lean on experience a lot
tbf though I only have Burnley to go by
Hope he continues to give more youngsters a go, younger than Garner too because we may need a lot of that going forward when you compare it to Brighton's model

who is the guy to take us forward with this squad and our financial issues?

You want pep guardiola? Ten Haag? Arteta? Tuchel? Nagelsman? Pochettino? Zidane?

You think they will do better with gray and iwobi and no strikers and no fullbacks?

We are a mess with very little resources. We should be in the championship.
