You arent scoring loads of goals when you can only afford Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes though mate, and even then he had then bagging close to double figures most seasons.

He’s got McNeil back and Gray is an upgrade on Aaron Lennon who he had. Every man in this team whether you rate them or not is a huge upgrade on what he had at Burnley, simple as that.

That’s true. We’ve got good defensive players (despite some people’s agendas against Patterson and Mykolenko), we’re ok in holding midfield as well with Onana and Gueye

He’s just got to get something going forward out of Iwobi Gray McNeill Maupay DCL and Gordon (if he stays) plus anyone else we can get in the window.

Lampard had lost his head but the players were playing for him, maybe not after the S'ton game when the bust-ups supposedly happened.

We were solid and together at the start of the season - in a sense, we gave up shots but got away with it, that's what Dyche teams do too - but couldn't attack because the players weren't good enough.

So we need new players but I'm not sure it's going to be enough. Dyche will have to grind out the points. It's a tough ask.
They were playing something for him. I would say playing him for a fool, all matey matey and then serve up crap on the pitch. Glad hes gone and if he mentions Crystal Palace one more time.....

He paid £16m for Chris Woods though, its not like he was just there. He scouted him and bought him.

He was there 7 years and not once tried to play any form of creative football, and before you say he had no budget and it was Burnley; plenty of teams scout scout players from all over the World that provide that flair.

My only concern is our ability to create chances, i'd love a culture change, i'd love for the team to become industrious and hard to beat giving everything for the club. But i also want to be assured we can create and score chances

Our last 8 league games has delivered 2 points
  • 14 conceded - 7 of these in 2 matches I may add (1.75 a game conceded)
  • 4 scored (1 every 2 games)
  • 26 shots on target (3 a game)

We have the ability to score or create more chances, we win 3 of them
...and that'll be addressd hopefully in the coming days.

Wrong appointment for this club. The fact that he wasn't first choice says it all. We know what happens when we go down the list when recruiting. Short sighted appointment with close to zero charisma to bring in the quality players we desperately need to stay in the league.

Wanted pragmatism, championed Moyes in a another thread. Players we have are not capable of being too expansive. If he keeps us up, well done.
Be interesting to see what he does with the team if we stay up. He's always moaned that he's never been given the chance.

They are crap though.

This isn't a case of a squad not being where it should be...

Maybe it shouldn't be 19th, but it's not like West Ham, who should not be anywhere near a scrap based on the quality they have.

This is a squad that is of relegation-candidate standard.
