2022/23 Sean Dyche

Last season we beat them 3-1 with like 3 goals in 5 minutes, could and should have been 5-1 at least. Their defence crumbled after they initially took the lead, just like ours has been doing this season. Doesn’t fill me with much confidence.
That same team then later came back from 1-2 down to win 3-2 in a pivotal game at the bottom of the league..

Fair enough, Dyche had been frog marched out by then, but it was still the same team more or less (i.e. his team).

I said yesterday that Dyche is the appointment you see your opponents at or near the foot of the table make and it's concerning because you know the feller will get something from them.

I stand by that.

Maybe write off the next two fixtures, but the last 16 games will be very interesting and he'll have us fired up for a scrap.

Dyche might be a decent fit for all I know. I'm just baffled at the clubs incompetence/unwillingness to look outside the same old bunch of English dinosaurs, and actually find a hungry manager with something to prove from another league. Surely there's plenty good ones out there who'd jump at the opportunity of managing in the PL.

Benitez -> Lampard -> Dyche. That's just sad.

If he's our manager, I'm behind him 100%.

I don't think we've been a million miles away from picking up points in our terrible run. A better set up team will surely get us away from trouble. Yet again another season written off. Not Dyche's fault and if he can get our defence sorted ASAP and then start showing a decent and effective attacking style he'll win me round completely.

Good luck to him and us.

Wrong appointment for this club. The fact that he wasn't first choice says it all. We know what happens when we go down the list when recruiting. Short sighted appointment with close to zero charisma to bring in the quality players we desperately need to stay in the league.
To be fair loads of people said that about Allardyce, but ultimately he achieved what was necessary at the time.

They are crap though.

This isn't a case of a squad not being where it should be...

Maybe it shouldn't be 19th, but it's not like West Ham, who should not be anywhere near a scrap based on the quality they have.

This is a squad that is of relegation-candidate standard.
Dont agree
