Not my first choice as manager but the main thing is we've made an appointment so there are at least a few more days left to try to get players in who fit his preferred way of playing.

Good luck to him (and us) and our recent history with ginger managers is good lol

I expect he'll be looking at the squad and thinking much of it is equivalent (i.e. players he had!) or better than his Burnley team

The exception to that is up front where I agree a couple of signings are needed - this has been the case all season...

He'll be pleased to working with Gueye and Onana. And the CBs will be right up his street. Add a target man and we have a good spine for him to work with at least.

Just looking through some of the players he signed,

I remember spells were McNeill couldnt get into the Burnely team under Dyche, which would suggest he knows his stuff.
lol

TBH, if there's one player he sidelines here you want it to be McNeil right now.

Time will tell, but he might just have a role to play.

Then it's not better then, is it?

It can't score goals. Which is why it's so low.

It's not 19th, I'm not suggesting it is.

Is it one of the poorest 5-6 in the league? Absolutely.
Any team that doesn’t numbers in the box struggles to score goals, it’s not just about the personnel it’s about the set up also.

If we’d had more players instructed to get in the box when attacking we wouldn’t be were we are imo, of course we need more quality up front but it’s pointless if we attack and throw balls into the box with one attacker in there

U21s? What?
So we sack our manager, and spend a week sucking up to a guy who in his final interview applies for a completely different job and wants us to sack the coaching team from the U21s so he can bring his entourage in then take over the managerless first team in the Championship in June.

It’s every single day now we do something no one has has ever done before.

….certainly, but they beat us at Turf Moor.

I’m not too enamoured with Dyche but he’s better than Bielsa. I can see us surviving.
I’m not sure how you come to the conclusion that Dyche is better, considering in the 1.5 seasons they were both in the PL together, Bielsa outperformed him in both.

Don’t get me wrong though I’ll get behind Dyche

You're absolutely right of course.

Our players have also missed some absolutely sitters this season because they're poor finishers.

I can sense a real up and at em atmosphere next weekend. Dyche’ first game and presented on pitch before kick off, table topping Arsenal visiting which every man and his dog will expect us to lose, I can just see the crowd being up for this and that will relate to the players. Every tackle that flies in will get the crowd off their feet and even more up for it which will get even more out of the players. I can see this being one of those Goodison days
The team reflects the manager from now on in: aggressive and up for a fight.

We've all being calling out for the dogs of war to return and save us. We'll get that now.
