Time will tell on this one, if he manages to keep us up, he will have been a good appointment. If, however, he takes us down it will be a different situation. If we go down I think we would have been better placed with a man like Bielsa, who would have relished ripping it all apart and laying some good foundations. The biggest thing against Bielsa, in my opinion, was that he would almost definitely taken us down this season, whereas Dyche has an outside chance of grinding out enough points to keep us up.
Where we would go in the future, should Dyche keep us up, God knows. I just don't see him as the type of manager to build anything other than a team which will stay in the premier league at best. I hope I am wrong and he can build a side we can get behind. Stranger things have happened. Anyway if/when his appointment is announced, I will give him the benefit of the doubt and get behind him.
