2022/23 Sean Dyche

Dyche laid the foundations for that club to become a modernised and adaptable football club.

Akin to Moyes with us, it went stale. It happens when someone is at a club for so long.

What we need is stability over the next two years and id back Dyche to bring that.
And the point about banter and the team going out on the lash..give me a bunch of guys willing to fight for each other as a team over our lot who seemingly can't stand one another and have absolutely zero team spirit.
I'm going to need you to define this for me.

He was in charge for 30 games and won 4 he got them relegated. Its that simple.
It is simple, he didn't get them relegated as he didn't manage the last 8 games. As I said just sticking with the facts. If you look at previous seasons with Burnely the last 25% of the season was very often squeaky bum time but he managed to see them over the line

My fear in the summer, which still is very much so now,, is that we don’t have any goalscoerers in the team. Not one

we may buy some, or he goes long to Dom and the instructions are pick up the second ball, maybe??

Who knows, the team is massively unbalanced and any manager without recruitment will fail IMO
Oh he has to get some players in this week, yeah. This is all premised on that. Dyche cant do a thing without a target man.

He might get a game out of McNeil to swing in a few crosses and the FBs casting their security blankets off and getting up the pitch too.

The voice of reason.
I think many Everton fans are looking at Dyche from a football snobbery perspective and that Everton is too big a club to get a manager like Dyche in as it confirms the state the club is in and it highlights the fall from grace. But if the reality of the situation is not accepted then things will only get worse
Why didn't you guys accept you were a mid-table team and appoint Hasenhuttl or someone then instead of Emery? Because you had ambition so appointed a good manager.

You cannot appoint a manager who is no better than relegation fodder playing dinosaur football. If you appoint someone with potential, you may move in the right direction. We know what Dyche is and it is unbelievably poor. It should be against everything we stand for as a club. But know this is the MO of Kenwright and Moshiri and a huge section of our fan base will gladly lap this up, doing the board's job for them - the acceptance of failure and mediocrity. The normalising of a complete lack of vision and foresight. The inability to plan and innovate.

Dyche is the final nail in the coffin of this joke of a club.

You would have said exactly the same if we were linked with Eddie Howe - when he was performing worse than Dyche ever did and conceding 80 goals a season for Bournemouth

Now he's the hipsters favourite
At least you could see what Howe was trying to do. With Dyche it's low block, long ball, loads of headers. Might as well play 6-0-4.

If he can grind out draws against the more difficult sides and wins against the teams around us then I'm all for it. Based on Burnley he probably can do that but I still have my reservations. Is he better than Sam Allardyce? If not then get Sam back if that's the road we're taking.

Let's hope it's only a short term deal til the end of the season.
If Dyche agrees to a job till the end of the season then he is the wrong man for the job. You need someone with balls and taking a ridiculously short contract is weak. That is not the manager you want and that is not Sean Dyche

We are absolutely not above Dyche. I like to think that there is a more modern minded manager who can be tactically astute as well as pragmatic but tbh my knowledge of world football isn't amazing.

Far to many of our fans worry about what others teams fans think of Everton if we get Dyce, I honestly do not care, beyond it right now.

Sound logic. He held the victim under water until they were on the verge of death but the victim didn't die until 4 days later. Nothing to do with that dude who tried to drown them though. He did a bang up job last season at Burnley. Jog on and worry about your own club instead of coming in here lecturing us about what our expectations should be. What's it got to do with you?

Got zero goals and one assist under Dyche last season.

If it's to be him I'm relieved, tbh.

I said earlier that we need a big character who can get out there and take the challenge on. Dyche can do that.

In normal circumstances you'd run a mile from his style of play...but these are not normal times.

Said this 5 years ago, just after we'd appointed Allardyce.
