The man actually thought there was no point practicing defending because if you have 100% possession you won’t need to defend.
Similar to how Big Oil believes we should only get great players and never get any bad ones and get the best manager and win all the games.

Super simple stuff when you sit down and think about it really.

He’s not bothered about winning games mate, it’s all about how we play and our xG. He says so himself.
I'm more bothered about the process than the results. We will win more games when we play better. I think this is a fairly agreeable take tbh. It boggles my mind that people really genuinely think that how effective our play is game to game doesn't matter and that we should simply look at the form chart for deciding if we're playing good or bad. It's such a shockingly simple view of the sport.

“Play better” isn’t as easy as you make it sound with players like Dwight McNeil, Seamus Coleman, Mykolenko, Doucoure, Simms, Iwobi and Maupay involved. And your favourite player ever Tarkowski of course.

When Dyche came in we were the worst team (in terms of form) of all the clubs of all the top 5 divisions of Europe.

We all agreed it would take a miracle for him to keep us up and maintain our incredible top-flight record, especially given that his first two games were the league leaders and then the RS away. In the last few years I've been to Anfield three times and I've seen us lose by 3 goals or more on each occasion. It's just an awful ground for us right now.

All we as fans can do to save our great club is do what we end towards the end of last season - get behind our manager, get behind our team and create an incredibly hostiler atmosphere for opposition teams.

That's what the RS fans did last night.
Completely concur.

Frankly I didn't expect us to get anything at the pit. RS fans and players alike always treat it like a cup final game. And despite what some blues might say the RS do have a good squad.

These next two games of ours, both at Goodison, are perhaps the two biggest games in our club's long and proud history. Win them and we will almost certainly stay up.

No one will ever convince me that the answer is not trying regardless of who the players are.

That's the sort of attitude that got Big fat Sam sacked for finishing 8th. And just look at what's happened to us since we sacked him.
Nah that was just Moshiri doing random crap because he doesn't know what he's doing. If he was following that philosophy he'd never have sacked Silva when he did nor would Frank have come back for another year.
