This is fine, they gave us good service and then they moved on, no problem with that at all. If Onana gives us a few seasons of top quality to the point we can’t keep hold of him then good on him, Recently though we’ve not been getting the good service (Richarlison aside) and there’s a lot of players I look at and I wasn’t sure why they’d even want to be here and often it showed in performances (not the only reason as I said)

Logically though it makes sense that the only way we start building consistency and moving up the table is by creating a common culture from the manager downwards to the players of all pulling in the same direction. Alignment as Dyche might call it. How often have we truly had that in the Moshiri era? Small periods under Silva Carlo and Lampard maybe but not enough to build a culture of good performance to embed us in mid table repeatedly.
Yes, our scouting system has basically fallen apart slowly but surely since the Moyes years. Not saying there weren't misteps under Moyes, but we seemed to be able to identify talent, get performances out of them and sell on before replacing with similar quality, or at least strengthen the wider squad if not a like for like replacement. Onana looks to be the exception to the rule at the moment.

There's nothing wrong with the system he's got, it's being clinical in front of goal.

He needs to start Simms to get on the end of McNeils crosses. And Gray should start over Iwobi or as a false 9.
That's all I'm on about really, it's the individuals in the setup that are wrong, we simply have to offer more of a collective threat otherwise we will go down imo.

Even bigger test for Dyche now. The novelty factor worn off, and the result, if not the performance saw us revert very much to the mean.

Not expecting anything from Arsenal, is it Forest after?
Doesn't matter who it is really but failure to win that game and potentially heads could drop in a manner that can't be fixed.

We need to pick up a point or three here and there to have any chance. One more bad spell and we are probably done for. The players don't have in in them to recover from that.

Have to win at Forest now if we get nothing at Arsenal. Previously I would have taken a point, but that luxury is gone now. We need to drag them under the water or it’ll be us drowning.

We do tho? Were creating enough and are playing well, just haven't got any finishers in the team at all

We did have one off the line as well and an onana header well saved
Creating and playing well is not the same as looking like scoring. We've so far in 4 games scored a once every 10 years fluke and a deep post corner. Feels like it's gonna take a bolt from the blue for us to ever score.

I think when Patterson and Garner come back, we will have better options.

I am not convinced of Gray or Iwobi on the right wing so I could see Patterson given that spot with Coleman behind.
