2022/23 Sean Dyche

I'm happy with Dyche so far but I fear the hesitancy to change that XI will absolutely wreck my head.
Putting mina in seems like a no brainer especially considering we seem to be totally reliant on crosses and set pieces.
He also has that bit of snide that Dyche seems to like.
Even if Coady gets injured, it'll likely be Keane.

I fear we are going down simply because of the lack of a component front line and that's on the DOF, owner and board, but I hope he can scrape us to safety somehow, the owner and board has done everything possible to hamstring us. The heartbreaking thing is the league isn't even that good this season if we had a competent forward line we would be in lower mid table. Our defence and midfield isn't relegation standard but the squad is hideously imbalanced we have a army of CBs and a lack of creativity and goal scorers.

It's kinda strange to think about it but Carlo basically has left a blueprint to play conservative football for dyche , play godfrey and holgate as fullbacks and apply the same approach to tactics that Carlo took when we had massive injuries to our best players , it won't get you top table but it can get us out of relegation
Difference is Carlo had threat up front. I agree though it's our best hope keep it as tight as we can especially away and hope we can nick one. I hope Garner can get in the team at least he can pop shots and take free kicks might be useful.

I suspect his absence is more about next season - ie Dyche is likely trying to build something longer term with players who will be at the club next season.
Whether he get’s the luxury of a long term view time will tell.

Just as clueless as Lampard based on that Villa game. You don't need to be a professional football manager to know that Neal Maupay cannot play as an isolated striker in a poor team.

It's time to either give Simms a run regardless of how he plays in the first few games, or put an extra midfielder in there and rid the likes of McNeal and Gray of their defensive duties.

Draws won't keep us up, or it's now virtually win or bust.

14 games left. We can still lose 9 of them and probably still have a decent chance of surviving if we can steal five victories. If Maupay starts, we will not get five victories.

What a load of old crap. Whilst we lost - we were clearly the better team, we are so much more organised and better than under Lampard. The effort was there, quality not. Hardly Dyche's fault.

The only point you make that I agree with, is give SImms a starting role. He can't be worse than Maupay.

And if you look at the league table instead of your hyperbole, we are still well in touch with most of the bottom half of the table and able to get out of it. With a few wins and a few draws.

This does not mean I think we will necessarily get them, but it is not as bleak as you suggest.

We’ve been a lot better, but I do worry that we’ve now had the new manager bounce.

If, as expected, we lose to Arsenal I hope he can keep the players heads up. A lot of our lot have proved under multiple managers that they don't have the stomach for a fight.

We don’t need to be going into the matches Post Arsenal with fear. I know most of us believe we will lose against Arsenal but if we do we still need a good performance to take as many positives from it as possible.

Hopefully we’ll shock them again, either way the more positives we can take from it the easier it will be for him to keep the spirits up.

Hope Arteta has a mare. These next few weeks will be nail biting but it’s not over yet.

Not really looking any better than when Frank was there. Only goal we've scored since a corner was a weird unlikely Coleman goal.
I’d say worse - certainly in terms of goals scored

He’s just brought Holgate on in midfield which tells you what he’s all about

Should never have been appointed

To be fair to him one win out of two vs the first placed side in the league isn't too bad, not going to go into the quality of football because the squad is honestly pathetic.

Just have to pick up the points vs the bottom half and we'll be alright.

Was never meant to be a long term appointment (I hope so at least), he probably won't be here for next season. Staying up or not.
