And by sacking Dyche isn't that yet another change which would distract away from the board ?

If we go down this season (which I dont think we will) then a portion of the blame rests on the Lampard Loyalists who stuck by the fella despite 3 wins in 20 games and losing valuable points to nearly all our relegation rivals.
The blame goes to the criminals in the board room who saw fit to hold on to the manager too long, failed to provide funds to strengthen the squad in January after selling another player and declared civil war on an already frustrated fanbase

I’ve been a big fan of a lot of what Dyche has done so far but I think he made some really bad calls today. Missing Onana and Doucoure should be all the more reason to put 3 in the middle of the pitch but he opted to go with just an aging Gueye and Garner who was making his first start. When we moved Iwobi in and put Gray out wide we were instantly better- but had given Fulham a goal start and run round like headless chickens for half an hour.
It was also clear Silva had watched our game last week and were constantly looking for the quick switch from right to left, just like Man Utd did. Fulham left us exposed in wide areas all game by moving the ball quickly. Full backs are one of this teams glaring weaknesses and other teams have got wise to this. Doesn’t bode well ahead of Palace and their pacy wingers next week.
I’m also a bit baffled with his Maupay/Simms decision making. Pickford hoofed the ball up to Maupay who was never going to win anything and didn’t anticipate/ throw himself at Grays flick at the end of the first half. Simms has been given starts away at old Trafford and Anfield, then on both occasions been dropped for the following game. Why not give him a start against a team where we would be able to create more for him, like today?
Think he’s being a bit deluded over Calvert-Lewin, he seems to believe he’s going to come back injury free and play to the end of the season. Experience tells us that is highly unlikely. He’s trained for 2 weeks so have him on the bench. We’re now waiting for the inevitable Thursday press conference when he will have ‘felt something’ and need another month on the sidelines.
Despite this, I hope he’s pragmatic enough to learn from this and hopefully put some of this right before next week. Fingers crossed.

And yet you were happy to give the board all the cover they wanted when you advocated sacking a manager days before the end of a window, knowing full well it meant that there would be no signings.

Well he has proven today that he is not a miracle worker. It was always going to be rough missing your midfielders but we should have fared much better at home. He really needs to find a backup strategy if we aren’t able to run the Gana/Onana/Doucore trio

I don understand why he switched to 4-4-2. We don’t have the players. 4-5-1 should always be the formation. Simms or Keane/Mina up front don’t care.

I get his thinking as our midfield looks completely different without THAT trio but I’m almost in agreement that perhaps we should be a bit more conservative without those guys as we get pegged in the midfield over 90 minutes without them. Iwobi and Garner will not pick up the slack.

442 with Maupay in particular just won’t cut it. Hopefully he learned his lesson. I’m okay with the experimentation as long as he learns something from it and he should have.

Not sure why he instructed the team to lump it to Maupay but when Simms is on they begin messing with it at the back.

Ballsed up today for me for the first time.

Subs awful.
Godfrey in stead of Patterson awful.
Two midget's up top yet lumping it long.
