4-4-2 with a high line against Newcastle and he's basically Agent Rafael Mk2.

This has to be the stupidest thing I have ever read on here. The floor is yours Tim… name ONE way with the slugs in our squad
Wow, and my post was stupid? How many goals have we scored this season? How many chances did this free flowing football create when the last fella was here? How many goals have we conceded when the “shackles are off”?.This has to be the stupidest thing I have ever read on here.
You must honestly beleive that we must be the only team in the top few flight of this country whereby the players are incapable of playing attacking football, even though any time the shackles are off and we are chasing a game we have seemed to manage it.
And that despite the fact that right now we are probably the most negative team in the league and are conceding goals by the barrel load since dyche came in, the answer is we need to play more negatively (despite about 8 years of Everton showing that any time we sit back we concede more goals).
We never play with the shackles off. We are the most defensive and passive team in the league. We don't commit men forward, we don't press, we don't close spaces, we don't engage teams until they reach the final third. Even if you are defending deeper you can do so with intensity and aggression. We haven't seen that. The performance against Fulham where we sat off and refused to even get tight, was a total embarrassment. In the 10 minutes we played with intent and tempo, we scored one and should have scored 2 more (lack of quality in front of goal unfortunately).Wow, and my post was stupid? The players are dreadful, they have proven this for over 2 years ffs. end of.
How much of it is tactical and how much is it players playing within themselves? I refuse to believe that he’s deliberately sending them out to be defensiveWe never play with the shackles off. Yes the players are not good, I've been saying it for years. But the least we could do is show some intent and intensity. Getting more numbers forward, winning our individual battles, and working at least as hard as the opposition, is the absolute minimum that should be expected. Draws will not save us at this stage of the season.
It's no wonder the board get away with murder when you read threads like this. It's genuinely maddening. The manager is categorically not the problem here. He's not the best manager in the world, there is a very good argument that he isn't going to achieve anything of note here in the long run, he does and will continue to make mistakes, but literally none of this is on him. I'm no lover of the bloke, I didn't want him here and won't shed a tear if he leaves in the summer, but I honestly find it staggering that anyone can have watched us over the last 2 1/2 years and still come to the conclusion that Dyche should be getting more out of them than he is.
With Doucoure in the side we absolutely were doing that. Spurs at home (about 3 weeks ago) was probably the best consistent pressing i've seen from Everton at Goodison in years, we caused them a lot of problems doing that. Since then we've lost 2 of the 3 starting midfielders, and had to replace them with people who quite simply aren't capable of playing that way. If anything, at Old Trafford the problem was that we pressed far too much, with Simms (who everybody wanted to get picked) looking completely incapable of doing it and so taking himself out of the game every time.We never play with the shackles off. The players have played in negative system after negative system (Lampard never played attacking football). Of course they are going to look crap, since Martinez we haven’t hired a single attacking manager and we wonder where all the creativity has gone?Wow, and my post was stupid? Do La Coruna count? If there is a club more poorly run in Europe then point them out. I could do with a laugh.
Valencia would give us a run for our moneyDo La Coruna count?
I thought so too at first given the turmoil and protests, but it was/is the same for Deportivo and they're currently in the 3rd tier due to double relegation.Valencia would give us a run for our money
