2022/23 Sean Dyche

not many probably, that's why its about organization and coaching.
Look at fulham and Brighton. They're not packed with superstars.
That Everton squad, under good management, break top 10, just.
Mate???

I don’t rate Dyche but this is simply a massive stretch. Our attacking options are worse than most on the championship, it’s why we are where we are

Gray, McNeil and Iwobi are the issues. They don’t create, score or have cohesion in how they play.

And Dom is broken with Maupay being an alternative.

It’s laughable

alright, fair enough, the squad is bad,
Striker is a real issue but even with DCL pulling up trees, I'm still not sure we score a lot.
Apparently Iwobi was the second coming at the start of the season.
We've all seen flashes of brilliance from Gray and McNeil.
Just looking for a manager who consistently gets the best out of his players and I don't think Dyche is.
I just think a better manager gets that team higher up the league.

Just a difference of opinion mate.
I don't think that squad is terrible.
Nowhere near as bad as the two sides that nearly dropped in the 90s
Just look at what Emery has done at Villa. Gerrard left them in a mess.
That's good management.
Thats all I'm looking for
and I don't see it in Dyche.
Emery is a much better manager than dyche, nobody’s going to argue there. If you think there is any comparison whatsoever between our squad and theirs though I’m afraid you’re deluding yourself to a quite frightening extent. Emery took over a side with plenty of quality which was massively underachieving. Dyche took over a side with no quality which wasn’t really underachieving as such, was just a bit directionless and in a death spiral.

Yea, villa were a bit better than us but he's taken them top 6.
All I'm saying is that a good manager might have gotten us top 10
Ancelotti played a large chunk of the season with no one up front.
You disagree, most probably do. But this is a thread about the manager, and I don't think he's good enough.

Ancelotti could barely get some of these players top ten - and that’s with james, richarlison, sigurdsson, digne all heavily involved in our goals.

The squad we have now is much much weaker. Our attacking options this season have been maupay, simms, grey,McNeill and Iwobi - genuinely think that attack doesn’t look out of place in a championship side.

Ancelotti just about scraped the top 10 with a front 3 of richarlison, James and a fully fit Calvert lewin being supplied by digne and sigurdsson. We now have gray, McNeil and either a 30% fit Calvert lewin or maupay being supplied by, well, nobody.

See I also think that squad gave up as soon as they heard he was heading back to madrid. Before that he had them top 4 or close to it.

Nobody is getting anything out of them because they are subpar players who have contributed 25 goals in over 300 professional games

They are bad players

It took one of the best managers in modern history to scrape us into the top 10 in 2021, and that was with a much better squad than the one we've currently got.
