Why not give gray the last 10???
Because he's a manager who is obsessed with 'must not lose' and 'consistency'. The latter is why he still plays Keane, despite there being no reason Keane should have ever been in the side other than Dyche's own nepotism.

I like Dyche in theory, and I think the type of manager was needed for this squad. But in practice he, just like many managers before him, isn't good enough.

Lack of career planning, life control and intelligence.

Let not be offended by that, all our fanilies are in this line of work…but lets not try and claim its anything other that just a dead pay dayz
Oh , I’m not offended by these comments but I am very ,very angered by them.
What an arrogant, supercilious pipsqueak you must be to post this insulting bilge.

For what it's worth - no doubt he gets us back to the Prem from the Championship.

Also no way he improves us at any given point as his absolute ceiling is "avoid relegation". Not even Moyes' "avoid relegation fast and build from there", just avoid it, play for draws ASAP.

I don’t know mate.

Top 4 in the championship and the best 4 teams by a mile this year have been;

Burnley - Kompany
Sheff utd - Heckingbottom
Luton - edwards
Boro - Carrick

All four are young/new into management. New ideas and good tactical setups. Not dinosaurs.

The championship has changed over the past few years. I seriously doubt dyche to get a team out of the championship that will need a rebuild.

Eh, he knows the game, won't be pretty though, proper "signing 35 year olds" stuff, which will be even more grim back to the Prem, but I think he'd be able to.

Just hope we have new higher ups when we're back in the Prem, really.

I mean in reality I hope the stars align and we survive this year, but...

Did well tonight. I get his problem in that if you bring someone on and lose the game everyone would say ‘why did you bring him on’. Thought he did okay today.

The next 14 months will be thought mate. Even if we stay up this year, next year will be worse/harder.

I don't know if any manager will get us back given how the squad could potentially look. I'm also opposed to a manager who relegates us for the first time in 70 odd years sticking around. He'd be a small part of the blame but he'd still need to go imo.

I genuinely agree and I'd be up for (as @john jako said) someone younger and hungrier, with new ideas. Example being maybe even someone like the Cowley (brothers, I guess the "main manager" would be Dan) and all, why not?
Sure, untested grounds for the eventuality of the Prem, but Dyche is proven and currently bollocking it up anyway, so what's the difference?
