I mean, we all know the board are not fit for purpose. The fact that it was those two managers on the shortlist was a problem in itself.

But will you be backing and defending the board when the next set of accounts come out and there is a Lampard bill for £10 mill - as clearly it was “the obvious decision“ to sack him, can’t have one without owning the consequences. You’re agreeing with their decision ultimately and thus its subsequent consequences.

There is absolutely no doubt that Sean Dyche has made improvements to the team. He has simplified things down for the players and has got them running and showing commitment. I do think anyone was in any doubt that he would be able to do this. He is a specialist at getting the best from poor players and that is what he is doing. The owner/board have brought us to such a low point that not getting relegated is success, if Sean Dyche avoids the drop then Sean Dyche is a success.
Will he bring proper success, does he have a game plan that will win a cup or place high enough in the league to get us into Europe, I don’t think he has.
Sean Dyche hasn’t become a manager capable of managing a club of our stature, we have become a club that Sean Dyche’s level of success is all we can hope for. I do not mean the above to be an insult, we are lucky to have him, he has given us a fighting chance of staying in the league, without him we would have been a certainty for the drop. But let us not lose sight of the fact that avoiding relegation is not success for a club of our history and standing.

Whilst I can see the sense in your logic, I’m a positive kind of guy. I reckon there’s a good chance he will use us an opportunity to prove he can do more with better players and a (currently slightly) higher ceiling than Burnley. Give me hope Joanna.

We have honestly looked okay as a side too. At times good dare I say. There have been times where we have been more or less dominated but we tend to compete and create opportunities.

What we lack is a cutting edge but that happens when you keep selling all of the important players without finding real replacements. Curious how he would have fared with a healthy Dom, Rcharlison and Digne in addition to McNeil and this midfield 3. Does he just get the most out of less or can he lead an actual squad?

I don't agree with their decision in appointing him in the first place. I disagreed with hiring him because I knew he wasn't good enough

Cutting edge from a creative point of view and finishing. But I think Dyche can hone this rough diamond. He knows that if you don’t concede and are solid you always have a chance to win whoever you are playing. He isn’t negative but he has tried method and if we add a bit of stardust at the business end then we would be converting draws into wins. Don’t underestimate what he could achieve if he keeps this rabble up.
