He’s wise to want to clear the decks. We’re absolutely pants bar a few individuals and many of the players in big wages have shown poor attitudes during their time here. I suspect we’ll see tons of players go even if we do stay up, but if we go down it’ll be basically a factory reset with possibly only Tarky and DCL among the higher earners sticking around.

Whilst the man doesn’t make subs when he should and is persisting with Keane, he has made us tougher to beat and at least we create chances. If we go down I’d stick with him, I’m sick of the constant changes at managerial level when they clearly need to be made at board and pitch level. He’ll facilitate the latter at least.

We won't be able to pay either of their wages if we go down, the highest wage in the Championship is about £40k (i think) Also both of those names are joined with Onana, Pickford, and Branthwaite on a 5 man list that has been going about for a few weeks (no idea how realistic it is) of players who will be sold if we go down.

Are we harder to beat though, we're conceding on average at least 2 a game and we're in exactly the same position as when he took over.

He's had a full half season here, that's plenty of time to have got us well clear. He hasn't been helped out in the transfer market though, he has that as mitigation but I'm not having that we shouldn't be higher up. It's his team selections, He is shooting himself in the foot.

Unlike Burnley he won't have the final say here though, given the new staff who have come in on the recruitment team it would suggest we want to go for more younger types like Onana who can play for a couple of seasons and then be flipped for profit. He might get to bring in the odd warhorse type that he likes but I think a limit will be put on it, we are not Burnley at the end of the day and tbf Burnley couldn't get away quick enough from his previous style.

We'll see. I've no faith in Everton's transfer strategy.

It's all very well putting a recruitment team in place, but if the owner does what he fancies anyway then it means nothing. I suspect Dyche will insist on players he wants. I can't see him standing idly by.

Dyche has proven relegation pedigree having being relegated twice and on course for a third already in a fairly short career. It didn’t really become obvious that Lampard was the worst manager in the league until the middle of this season, he was still a bit of an unknown quantity and people were probably willing to see how the gamble panned out. Dyche is less of a gamble, we know what we’re getting - relegation.
