we arre a long long way away from talking about dominating games and possession. We need to face it, we need a period of unattractive pragmatic football. Grind out results, build confidence and make us more of an attractive option for players other than paying them daft wages.

Maybe, but over the course of a full season I doubt very much whether we would ever be out of the bottom 4 or 5 places in the league under Dyche, he just doesn't have what's needed for a modern day PL team imo.

I agree, the main reason we didn't beat Leicester is Dyche as he picked Michael Keane for that game and that cost us the win, because of Keane we could of quite easily lost if it wasn't for Pickford saving the penalty just before the break

I just don't see him being the guy for us, I am willing to see what he has over a full season though.
Hopefully he improves on the 19th, 17th, 15th & 18th finishes and the fact his highest scoring season was 45
Considering his teams couldn’t score you think he may have tried to resolve that

If (huge if because we are expected to lose our next two games) Dyche keeps us up it will be a truly astonishing achievement.
This must be the worst squad in Premier League history - and frankly it's not even the players' fault. They try and they give their all, but many of them are simply not good enough. Or, in the case of the brilliant DCL, they have rotten luck with injuries.
Dyche inherited a team firmly ensconced in the bottom two with an impossibly hard run-in and all the 'easy' teams having already been played twice under Frank.
And of Dyche's two main strikers: one (Maupay) is a guy who scored just 1 goal every 4 games on average at Brighton and the other lad (DCL) has scored just 3 goals from open play in 2 whole seasons.
It would be truly a miraculous feat to keep this squad in this division.

My opinion is that your opinion that there isn't a difference in attitude towards Dyche compared to Lampard is wrong.
I used @Goat as the example as he was who you originally quoted me on.
I've no doubt that Dyche is being treated a lot differently to Lampard - I don't recall fans on here calling for Lampard to be sacked even if he kept us up. I've saw a lot of that for Dyche.
A reminder - Lampard took over a team in 16th, and 4 points clear of the relegation zone - with a game in hand;
Lampard had Richarlison (and Gordon to be fair), and was able to bring in 2 players he wanted in van de Beek and Dele Alli.
Sean Dyche took over this;
No doubt whatsoever, Sean Dyche keeping Everton in the Premier League is a bigger challenge than what Lampard had.
But because Sean Dyche is Sean Dyche, he's having some fans undermine and downplay the challenge he had.
So Lampard took over 3pts behind 15th
Dyche took over 3pts behind 14th.

Bring Pickford and Branthwaite in and we're 3 outfield starters short of a total rebuild.
On that note, 4 of the players named signed by Thelwell have been successes.
I dont mind Dyche but hes made some absolutely bizarre and repeated errors.
If he stays on I hope its Thelwell signing the players.
If Myko is still here in 4 years we are playing in League 2.

You would play our most in form player in a position where he doesn't normally play?
He does a good job at coming back and sticking a foot in sometimes, he is by no means a defender though.
I can see the wing back thinking but that means changing our whole system with two games to go.
