I think you’ll find that the winner in that game came from a set piece floated in by Demarai Gray.It was the winner in the 3-2 that kept us up. So far as barrels go, it's gold plated ffs.

I fear where Dyche is taking us.

True, Dele involved with the equaliser.I think you’ll find that the winner in that game came from a set piece floated in by Demarai Gray.
How many recall when it was the 1st Division, no subs, at times 2 games per week yet players still went at it, no tiredness. Are the players right pandies now ?
I always flip it and wonder how good some of the old greats would look now with the equipment and technology available to today's footballers. How good would someone like Maradona or Pele or Charlton or our own Dixie, may have been on pitches like they have now and defenders not able to kick lumps out of them.A lot has changed since then. The development of sports science into what it is now allows for clubs to monitor each individual player to determine their fitness, what their 'peak' is/could be and if they are running the risk on injury/exhaustion. Footballers these days are elite athletes and I would imagine the physical exertion of a modern day footballer per 90 minutes is much greater than back in the 1st division days.
I often wonder how a great side (for example mid 80's Everton) would fair up against a good side (lets say 1st season Martinez). Although we'll never know, I think the sheer athleticism/speed/power of modern day footballers would compensate for their inferior technical ability compared to the greats of previous generations.
Some segue there !I always flip it and wonder how good some of the old greats would look now with the equipment and technology available to today's footballers. We'll never know but the equipment in the old days was very poor, heavy boots, heavy balls especially when wet, boggy pitches, snow covered pitches. I'd wager a lot of today's footballers would struggle back then.
Anyway, Dyche best get back to winning ways tonight.
Is right Sean, point out the inequality.
Don't hold your breath then, folks.Sean Dyche has said scrapping the winter break and staging fewer games in December would reduce the demands on players as well as the competitive advantage richer clubs enjoy.
