Do you go the game Tim?

Not a dig, I just wondered if im alone in my thoughts, the last few weeks the atmosphere has been terrible at Goodison, people moaning from minute 1, no singing, no supporting, only anger.

Im honestly debating whether I want to keep attending.
Honestly only 2 or 3 per year.

Atmosphere varies a lot. But I don't blame people for being frustrated after a game like yesterday. Obviously there's better ways to channel frustration than shouting for subs after 20 minutes, but I think the way the atmosphere can be good one day and really not good the next, is purely down the amount of rubbish performances we are subjected to. And when we are bad we can be really bad.

I'm not sure it's any different at any other club if they had this many years of failing to show any improvement. Throw in off the field problems too.

It's not entitlement for me. Entitlement is the last thing any Everton supporter can be accused of.

Its seeing a team on the pitch who aren't pushing to win the game. Its seeing a team who aren't doing anything to get the crowd involved. It's seeing a team who can't do eve the basics in possession of pass and move.

Our home record is terrible because our game plan at home is terrible. Dyche sets the team up at home to sit deep and defend and maybe we'll nick something. He's been here a year and the team has no identifiable style or strengths in possession.

The fans expect to see a team at least trying to win. Far too often at home we don't get that. My question is why should supporters be happy when that happens.
I just don’t think that’s true that we aren’t trying to win. We’re trying to win to the strengths of the team which is defending well and then counter attacking. Lampard tried to have this lot playing front foot football and we got spanked regularly. The only game I’ve watched where it felt like we weren’t trying to win was that Arsenal one. Everything else we’ve had a plan and Dyche’s plans should have us in 12th and not needing more last ditch escapes like the last two seasons.

I just think everybody needs to do better, manager, players, fans, we all need to chip in.

Currently we are sleepwalking to our death.

If we want the crowd to be involved and to really benefit from the crowd then we cannot sit deep and defend at home to the bottom half sides.

It just doesnt work like that does it. If you spend 25m on cenk tosun it doesnt guarentee he will get enough goals to get you to a level. All it means is you spent 25m on crap.

Of course no guarantees. Of course. But broadly it should be an indicator. A player who's (in theory) been competitively assessed and deemed worth £2k a week will not be as good as one we're paying £20k let alone a £200k superstar.

No it isn't? You get impresively more dumb by the day.

I said it is just an indicator of squad ability (and a better one than say transfer spend).

Sweetie pie, are you feeling ok with what’s going on at your place?

Mate I'd be a lot more worried about what's going on in your house

I must say, bar a few games it has been awful for quite a while IMHO. But i do agree with many people, and Dyche says this alot, the players have a responsibility to get the crowd going. A few tackles flying in, closing people down, pressing and a bit of passion could turn Goodison back into a bear pit. You dont even have to be a skillful player to do those few things, its just effort and teamwork.
Unfortunately its a viscious circle the past few seasons, fans get served up passionless dross from minute 1, fans get angry....round and round we go.

Atmosphere has beenn dead recently, but I just think it's near enough impossible to get into the mood for games when it's performances like yesterday.

Just a nothing performance, no player excites the crowd, no shots from distance, slow build up, a team of players who just cannot for the life of them pass a ball.

That's down to the squad,.management etc

So easy to criticise fans for bad Atmosphere, but it SHOULD be the players get the fans singing by giving them something, not oh the fans where quiet so we played crap
