If you can't see how it affects us out of possession I can't help you then Jimmy. It leads to a lot of last ditch blocks, last ditch tackles and guess what we aren't very good at? Defending set pieces.
I can see that though I just think shocking is not the way to describe a tactic that has led to 8 clean sheets in 12 games. Like I already said I think saying I don't like this tactic or I wish we didn't play this way is one thing but calling a tactic that obviously works to a decent extent shocking is not the same its not rational criticism its moaning for moanings sake.

Stop with this nonsense we’re overpaying for crap!
We’re paying dele 100kpw to not play, Gomes 120kpw to play three or four times a season, anyone who negotiated a contract before the Ukraine war will be on stupid money because we made terrible decisions.
That doesn’t reflect the squad quality and doesn’t reflect Dyche.

If I bought a 1995 Ford Focus for £100k that wouldn’t make it better than a brand new Golf GT for £60k so stop with this crap.

I'll keep going thanks because it's absolutely true. EVERY club has a load of overpaid crap. It comes with the territory. We really only have Dele Ali on the sides which I'd say is a lot less baggage than most clubs have in the league.

Isn’t it 1 win in 9 and 4 goals in 9. Yrs clean sheets are great, but we’re not winning many or scoring goals. Luton just beat Brighton 4-0 May get battered at Newcastle next game and then may get a draw. That’s better than 3 0-0’s

I'm not saying any different i'm just saying it obviously isn't a shocking tactic by any reasonable standard because TO AN EXTENT (shouted because its the third time i've said it) it clearly works. I am not saying its tactical genius or can't be improved on or is the best to watch or anything else i'm just saying its not a shocking tactic because it blatantly isn't!

Honestly though, since our great run we played spurs and city and were very unlucky (some would say cheated) to not get anything from either of those.

Awful performance against Wolves but it happens sometimes.

Fantastic defensive displays against Villa who could’ve gone top and away at Fulham where we should’ve pinched it but have no forwards with any composure.

Wolves game aside, Dyche has been setting us up well especially considering injuries.
This is spot on. We're doing 'OK' - tad unlucky and confidence took a knock after Spurs n City where we played ok - keep the faith.

We have average players yes, but working hard. Missing Doucs. Some goals and a win and confidence changes.

Good point away but starting to feel a bit trickier. I was confident for a long time that even if the 10 points stick we'll be comfortably clear come May. Now with the squad so stretched I'm worried.

Our away form generally is OK ( wolves the anomaly) picking up points, clean sheets and the odd win away is great.

Our home form is diabolical though.

Dyche is a dinosaur, but the best we can expect at this point in time unfortunately.
The football is dire, & fans of other teams say to me you are hard work to play against !!

Yeah it ain’t perfect defensively despite what the stats say, and I’d love us to find a better way but it’s working for now. It’s the scoring that we can’t quite get, without Doucoure in the team that is

His contract probably means he's safe given the wider state of our club but I'm at a point now where a break now would be better than in a few weeks time when it really could be dire.

4th best defence in prem and this? What more could we ask?

He cant score for us lads

If our forwards did their job I assume that means we’d have scored 34 goals by now

Almost two goals a game with the 4th best defence in the league is European form but we’ve got plums on here saying he’s crap because we overpaid our players before he joined 🙄

My problem is how do we expect players to gain any form when we simply dont want/cant keep hold of the ball long enough.

Constantly chasing shadows and consuming so much energy, against certain teams yes but every bleeding game home or away pffft
We’re creating chances though
This isn’t like when Allardyce had eleven men behind the ball and occasionally tried to pinch one, we are just missing so many chances right now. Last night away from home this supposedly negative team has 21 shots!
