Spends the entirety of pre season, including against a good Sporting side, pressing high with aggression and purpose only to surrender it on the first game of the season.

At home.

Versus a bottom half side.

He's an absolute coward.

Add to that he throws his son back in despite the useless lump almost taking us down.

I hate everything to do with supporting this team. It's a curse.

Spot on ;)

In addition, if hes never going to use Garner with Onana centrally he is a fool.

Hes shown a few times that he can set a team up.

Simply clueless when it comes to player selection + making substitutions + tactical changes in game.
I am going to reserve judgement until the time comes that he has options on the bench. A young championship striker in Cannon and a wide forward in Dobbin that struggled for league one starts are not good options. Danjuma was recovering from a niggle

We did press high today...? o_O

This is just ridiculous. He was fit enough to play in a pre-season friendly last week but not fit enough to even be on the bench today? Arrogant. Thinking that this ‘rehab programme’ is going to have him playing week in week out all season is just rubbish, the last 2 seasons have shown us that. When he’s fit, he has to play as it’s a matter of time before he famously ‘feels something’ and isn’t seen again for another 3 months. I refuse to believe he couldn’t manage the last 20 minutes off the bench after playing last week.

I dont have a problem with this. If he needs more rehab then fine, but the club obviously would have known this. Which begs the question why on earth strikers were not signed to be available week 1 since they knew would not be ready.

Its diabolical planning and totally unacceptable. Barely even believable we are in this situation yet again. This sort of stuff doesn't happen at other top flight clubs.

And it would be good if they could be more open with supporters as well.

….actually thought we were well set-up, lots of players in the top third especially on the break. That was encouraging but the problem continues to be our lack of quality around the penalty area and in front of goal.

Player selection can be criticised but the fact that we start our 2nd season without an effective and robust central striker is down to Thelwell.

i don’t mind what I see of Dyche.
Ive quoted myself above eggs to show we both think hes set teams up well.

Not much else....poor player selections, what seem to be pre arranged subs and no tactical changes when needed.

Its almost like hes picking players to show fans he knows best -- and it almost always backfires.

He needs to learn...and fast.
