Pathetic if you think a world class manager couldn’t get more out of this team. Did Klopp improve Rodgers team ??? And rodgers is much better manager than dyche
Are you saying that the Liverpool players Klopp inherited from Rodgers were Everton standard?

Doucoure is an athlete but a very limited footballer.
Andre Gomes completely lacks the pace needed for the premiership.
Ashley Young is 39, Seamus Coleman is 35.
James Garner still a premiership novice, although a very decent player, he needs break as the continuous games are affecting his form.
Last Saturday, the team picked itself, we only had three midfielders available... nobody else.
The choice wide right was Young or Harrison.
There is not one creative player in the entire squad this fit at the moment.... maybe Danjuma may rectify that a little if he gets fit.

There is zero pace in the team at present , something every manager loves, maybe Dobbin can provide some when he gets fit.

I think any manager would find that a challenge.

Which world class manager is coming to Everton mate?

You mention Rodgers there - he relegated a Leicester side that was better than ours now.
Wasn’t me that said Klopp or pep combined wouldn’t t improve this team, I was replying to someone. Maybe read the tread

And a lot of managers have been relegated. Anyone who thinks dyche is a better manager than rodgers needs to give up football

Dyche's main job was to save us and bring result stability. Overall he did that, with the big flaw of our 13 without a win. Normally, no manager survives that. I am sure Dyche would keep us up another few seasons (in case no points deduction involved), but also that would mean stagnation and no progress, but this is not the right way in a club like Everton with the potential to be a top half club again in a few years in case our next owners do good work and manage to clean up this mess.

I understand everyone going to Goddison or leave it not looking forward joyfully to the next match with the way we are playing a week before.

In the end, we have to take it grinding our teeth with so much insecurity in the club. Our club made us have the major burden with offering him a long term contract on a high salary knowing the club is in a fiancial misery, and we basically knew what we were getting. He might have saved his job for the moment with the win against Burnley, because getting rid of another expensive manager should be our last resort.

Hopefully, we stick together for the remaining games showing our masochistic side, all we need is wins, no matter how.

Not many managers have kept sides that are relegation candidates in the league for so long, either.

Sometimes mate you're skint and you have to have beans on toast for tea.

Quite simply if he keeps us up after a second points deduction it’s a good job for his 18 month tenure.

If you’d said when he came in after Lampard’s last game that he’d keep us up that season and then the season after receive two separate points deductions of at least 6 points but still keep us up, I think everyone would have taken that scenario at that point.

With regards to the first paragraph of your post, then there is bit of a contradiction in terms there.

You say he isn't in the bottom five managers of the last forty years, yet he overtook Mike Walkers run of games without a win this season.

As for being the best out of the last three managers well i think even you would have to agree that is a pretty low bar you're setting there.

I agree about keeping our heads above water but to hell with the devil you know. I'd rather take a punt on the devil we don't know.

Talk about contradictions, but you use winless run to say Dyche is worse than Walker (he's not, not by a country mile), but you don't use winless runs to judge Dyche against Benitez and Lampard. Dyche is not the worst manager in our history since the second world war.

Mike Walker had a win %age of 17.14 - he is without doubt the worst manager in my lifetime. But I won't uise that as an only metric as IMO Koeman was a worse manager (higher win %age though).

FYI: Lampard, Benitez, Koeman, Walker, Unsworth/Ferguson in their temp spells.

I could even be controversial and say Kendall's 3rd spell.

But hey ho, football is all about opinions.

Just a bit.

Dyche come in here;

With Arsenal x2, Liverpool A within the first 5 games.

Without a striker.

We all thought we were down. If we were told he's keep us up, then not spend a bean and reducing wages, then given a 10 point deduction for 4 months of the season the following season - we'd have all snapped your hands off.

He's improved us on our last 2 seasons - without spending, and reducing our wages;

That last run was horrific, but bigger picture. Fans overwhelming said surviving relegation was the priority this season and he has achieved that with results won on the pitch.

Is he the right man to grow the club once we get on a sure footing? I've no idea. I think his pragmatism has meant he's never had the chance to play anything other than % football.

What I do know though is all that matters for the immediate is remaining in the league - otherwise we do a Sunderland, IMO.

One thing that worsened the situation in 22/23 under Lampard is not that we only lost games, but games against teams that were in the bottom 6 like us, allowing them to come closer or overtake us and not against Liverpool, City etc.

He got sacked after losing to Bournemouth, Southampton, West Ham, Leicester and Wolves, all in the bottom 6 at that time we played them.

This would be like this season to lose against Burnley, Sheffield, Luton, Forest and Brentford now.

Dyches winless record is obviously unwanted but thankfully some of those non wins were draws also

In the real football world away from sordid agendas and cheating he has us safe in 14th place with nothing to play for apart from overtaking fulham and an outside chance of a top 10 finish. I'm no massive Dyche fan at all but he's done the job he came here to do. Let's not cloud the job that Dyche has done with the off pitch pantomime he's had to deal with. we've been forced to sell top players too whilst the cheats had an open cheque book. What I want to see from Everton now is vicious legal action against the PL to ensure this ruined season rumbles on until November.

It‘s a terrible record that normally leads to a sacking and people expecting better results righteously overall.

To keep it in perspective we had one 6 pointer in this time against Palace. The outcome wasn't as we expected, a draw. Better than losing, but I think it's realistically to expect a win at home against them. So means 1 behind them instead of 4, but could be 2 ahead with a win.

Burnley was another one that we won in an bloody ugly way, but we did the most important at the end.

Imaginel losing that and the prem would go us deducting another 4. Burnley would be back in the race.

Luton, Forest each 25, Us, Burnley 22. instead of 6 above them.

In the remaining games we have 3 6 pointer and 1 must win against Sheffield. It's still in our own hands. We have the chance to put it into our favour against all of them directly, and when we do our job there not to rely on them.

I agree with this. It’s a crap job to have to do, there is a wrench of decline in the club of the last decade… we are about to move stadium and yet no one is interested in buying us still.
