I’d have 3 in midfield for starters. I wouldn’t have both fullbacks tucked in so far they’re CB’s. I wouldn’t tell Pickford and the whole back line to hoof it every second bypassing the midfield. I’d stick Keane on bog cleaning duty.

I agree with the Keane thing. I think we have been playing with 3 midfielders for most of the season, with Gana, Onana and Doucoure and I think the fullback thing has depended on the personnel available.
In terms of the long ball, I don’t have a problem with it, if there is a viable target, but I do find it frustrating when we play without a target man and it’s just, hit it over the top and chase after it.

Nah I mean a proper midfield 3 not having Doucoure play some weird second striker role that does nothing. Gana mopping up, Garner and Onana ahead of him controlling.

I understand what you are saying but the performance in the first half tonight was abject at best. It is a work in progress but that first half was horrible beyond belief
It was but I love the way people are acting like we have not been like this against lower league teams in the league cup ever.

Its been like this for about twenty years. Every year the same old thing.

Maybe so, but we need to look to build and future proof, Dyche is not future proof, a dinosaur of a manager, one dimensional and now showing some arrogance, the bell end.

Potter, would need time for sure but some of what we have are useful players just poorly coached, again.

We can’t keep changing football philosophy with every manager, it’s too expensive. If it doesn’t work out with Dyche I expect us to find a manager who plays a similar style.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that if you don’t try and play like Man City, then you are a dinosaur.
I don’t understand the arrogance comment, when has he been arrogant?

Good to see two of the players Dyche has brought in got the goals to turn the game around. Mind you it was shocking to see that we were getting beat by a side propping up League two, but that shows what a collection of poor players we have in our squad.

I think we might see that once we have a player to play RW, we may see Garner move into the middle and Doucoure on the bench. But we’ve got a few square pegs in round holes at the moment.
