Good to see two of the players Dyche has brought in got the goals to turn the game around. Mind you it was shocking to see that we were getting beat by a side propping up League two, but that shows what a collection of poor players we have in our squad.
It wasn't the getting beat it was embarrassing how many chances they created and how little football we played

I’m amazed at how many think we’ll be turned around overnight.

The result in this case was more important than the performance. They may be bottom of their league but the pressure was all on us, it was at their ground, we hadn't scored and they smelt blood. In those circumstances it is easy lift the group and to play beyond your means.

It was always going to be difficult and the main thing is we are in the draw. If we always look at the negatives we'll always be in this dark place. It's about time we were second best and still came back to win and finish strongly. We had two players get their first goals so hopefully they'll be a little less tense at the weekend.

I doubt it. Dyche is obsessed with this 4-4-1-1 from the 90’s.

I suppose we will see, maybe when everyone is fit. I think for us, even if we played with a midfield 3 we are more likely to have 2 being defensive and 1 being attacking. In the current squad I don’t think we have many options for the attacking role. Which is why Doucoure is currently there. I’m not convinced either Onana or Garner can provide goals, maybe Garner can assist with his delivery into the box.

We maybe have a squad that can play the 4-4-1-1 more easily because we can play Beto/ DCL / Chermitti up top and then Maupay/ Doucoure/ Danjuma in behind him.

I’m not saying it’s ideal, but I think it could be effective and we could win football matches.

You can have him back if you want him
Just gave some examples mate that’s all!

A lot is made ‘formations’, if you’d have played 3 at the back pre 2017 in the PL you’d have been laughed at then Conte comes along wins a league and teams are going 3 at the back all the time.

If anything the new meta is going towards total fluid systems.

Easy to bash Dyche with lazy low hanging fruit like that, he has his flaws like all managers do but he’s not the dinosaur some would have people believe.

When he gets his guys watch how effective your pressing will be up the pitch. Was doing that ‘geggenpressing’ with us (if you wanna call it that) before Klopp popularised it in England

Madrid play 4-3-1-2 so essentially 4-3-3 and Atletico have played 5-3-2 in their games so far this season and tbh I don't care what 2 Spanish teams do as I'm an Everton fan.
You’ve half made my point there.

Almost like you drop a midfielder in a bit and it’s ‘4-1-2-1-2’ or a forward splits wide and a midfielder pushes on it’s ‘4-3-3’

Patterns of play, pressing triggers, defensive shape etc all better indicators
