2023/24 Sean Dyche

My greatest concern is that I at least thought dyche would have us well drilled defensively.
But it's totally on him that the right and left back are told to hold hands with centre backs in open play.
It's totally on his tactics that when defending corners or free kicks that every outfield player we have, must go into the 6 yard area. We were pummeled by villa doing it and tonight the mighty Doncaster did the same..not once or twice, but over and over again.
Those two major problems have cost us a lot this season already, and surely even dyche should be seeing it and working on it??

If he can put a team out that includes Pickford, Gana, Onana, any two of Iwobi/Danjuma/McNeil/Harrison and Beto along with any back four not including Godfrey there isn’t really an excuse to be anywhere close to the drop. It starts Saturday for real. We need to put in a performance away from home for once and we need to win as well. I don’t think he needs to survive the fortnight if we play like we did today again.

It's taken several months but slowly dyche is building his team into physical meat heads playing route one football. Guess it was always gonna happen.
We are the big bad wolf at the door huffing and puffing to blow the door down without realising the windows are wide open right next to it.

Stop playing abysmal players like Keane and Godfrey ffs. Both have shown you time and time again that they aren't good enough so learn from your mistakes like you expect your players to ffs.

After our dreadful start to the season he really should have played our best 11 from the start. They didn't need a break they needed practice.
Far better that our best team would have put a couple past Doncaster (I believe) and then given chermiti etc. Some time on the pitch.

Just gave some examples mate that’s all!

A lot is made ‘formations’, if you’d have played 3 at the back pre 2017 in the PL you’d have been laughed at then Conte comes along wins a league and teams are going 3 at the back all the time.

If anything the new meta is going towards total fluid systems.

Easy to bash Dyche with lazy low hanging fruit like that, he has his flaws like all managers do but he’s not the dinosaur some would have people believe.

When he gets his guys watch how effective your pressing will be up the pitch. Was doing that ‘geggenpressing’ with us (if you wanna call it that) before Klopp popularised it in England
Interesting view point.

I was very surprised at the actual football we played v Fulham 1st game , lots of chances created but obviously no goals.
Then more of the same v Wolves but a little less attractive football than the Fulham game .
In between them games was Villa away a 4-0 drubbing and the first of Dyche reverting to type hitting the ball long.
Tonight was evidence that he really hasn't changed . Against a team bottom of the English divisions he was screaming & waving his arms like a madman telling the players to hoof it.
That is not a sign of a good manager , its one that is stuck in his ways and reluctant to change.

GOT TO GO another manager that is doomed here by being stubborn

Moyes played games where you thought wow what you doing but also made sure we were well drilled from back to front this clown makes us look like he's writing on a white board in the cellar of a pub bottom of the 3rd division one Sunday after being out from a Thursday. I thought he was the manager to steady the ship make us really hard to beat but the last 4 weeks prove otherwise and not even that his football is big samesc I truly believe we are going down this season and after looking at our first 5 games I thought 3 wins 2 losses yet we've lost our first 2 home games without scoring brace ourselves Rotherham away really isn't that appealing

We have some issues in the team, its up to him to fit some quite talented players in the side and make it work.

Basically, we have signed a lot of new players and its gonna take time for them all to gel.

But Goat don't you want to push that to one side and freshen things up? If we get a new manager they won't have the PTSD of watching Keane and Godfrey get given the run around by Doncaster and therefore will likely give them a chance to shine in the FA Cup or next year's League Cup or perhaps even an important PL game due to other absenteeism.

If we keep a manager for more than one year likely they may want to eject these type of players from the club for letting them down so many times and this makes me sad as all they really need is a brand new start under a different manager...again.
