2023/24 Sean Dyche

Remember at this point last year and us and Villa were struggling, with Lampard and Gerrard in charge respectively. They sacked him and put Emery in charge and haven’t looked back. We appointed Dyche.
After we sacked Benitez we had a shortlist of Lampard and Pereira.
Before that we had Ancelotti and decided to replace him with Benitez.
Player recruitment has been patchy, but managerial appointments have been off the scale bad.

A reasonable squad? No. No the worst, but it’s pretty much the squad that’s circled the drain for too long now.

Dyche isn’t Ancelloti, but he’s really not the big issue at the club.

we can’t afford to replace him, there’s no one at the club who could be bothered too anyway, and what kind of person is coming to this basket case club right now anyway?

stick behind the manager, he’s all we’ve got and our only chance of survival

What do you expect relegation manager with relegation players. Sad to see Everton play like that!! Been watching for 50 years all I want is flair and effort not sitting back waiting for miracles best form of defence attack. WAKE UP.

Well that's a post that fills me with hope! Based on what we've seen so far if this guy is our only chance of survival then this is going to be a very long season.
 
Even if dyche deserved to be sacked who wud do it as moshiri has agreed to sell the club don't think he be bothered whats going on in the pitch once he gets his money from 777, he cud lose next 10 games and still be here.
 

Watching the teams warm up at the start yesterday says it all really.

Arsenal worked on attacking and shooting.
Defence just their Goalkeeper with man in front putting crosses into box with him trying to put keeper off, he caught every ball.

You can't be a Dyche in present day football. There is no room now to play the style he does. You need to have tactical nous with and without the ball and we have neither.

At times under both Lampard and him it appears the tactic is don't concede and if you do try to attack a bit. Go on lads!
 
So always think the measure of a good manager is; ‘are they getting more from the players than the sum of their ability?’
Someone like Farke at Brentford for example, or Emery at Villa.
Is Dyche getting more from our squad than the sum of their ability? No. We’ve had injuries so I wouldn’t sack him yet but there has to be a stark improvement in the next 3 games, and by that I mean points on the board, not ‘we’ve created lots of chances.’
