He’s been here long enough to see it’s not working. The home results are so bad. An average manager would have a better record than he’s produced.

He’s losing games we should be winning.

The interviews are tedious, repeating the same old lines and blaming the history of the club for underperformance - failing to recognise that’s his job to turn it around.

I hope they are making moves to replace him regardless of the Bournemouth result.

Stats have their place. The game is so big these days and there is so much money involved and decisions being made can be worth millions of pounds hence the 'eye test' just not being enough and you need something else to back it up, that's just common sense tbh, but there has to be a balance with it. As for Xg well the big issue is that the model used to calculate it treats all players as if they are born equal. We know that football is a game based on individual talent levels and Haaland has a better chance of scoring a goal than the likes of Maupay. It also doesn't take into account the goalkeeper the striker is facing. It's a lot easier to score against Trafford (Burnleys keeper) than say Alison. There is alot more to it than this and there is a good paper online (somewhere) about the good and bad of Xg and it has it's place in the game but aslong as you are aware of how it actually works and what it's flaws are.
The beginning of the story is also how statistics came into Psychology and Marketing. Football in particular needs to treat stats as contextual descriptive tools to avoid the fallacy of basic objectivity.

He’s a manager for a relegation scrap. Problem is I personally believe these players shouldn’t be thinking about another relegation scrap, they should be looking to push on to at least mid table security.

His record is appalling. Lose at weekend and he has to be set free.
Not even just for the fact that It's Bournemouth, The fact It's at Goodison..

You can't have a man in charge that can't even get a tune out of his players at home. ( Especially after 2 away results )

Dyche is literally lost at Goodison, I actually think the place scares him.

Dyche has 25 points from his 25 games!
Lampard had 22 from his last 25 games and probably stayed 2 or 3 games too many!

If Lampard wasn't good enough, a 3 point swing from a decent amount of fixtures doesn't change that
Caveat to that is you usually get sacked on the back a poor run. Lampard got 34 points in in his first 30 league games. Not great I know. dyche has 25 in 25 So 3 wins in His next 5 just to match lampard, who wasn’t good enough

... as I've said loads, I expect us to fight relegation this season.

I think the team we have are relegation fodder.

After Arsenal, I was suggesting calm - suggesting fans wait until Bournemouth. After Bournemouth there as an international break.

I expected to lose to Brentford, and Villa.

I expected us to beat Luton.

We're in better position, after Arsenal, than I expected - same level of points, but still in the cup.

But that Luton game... I've never been so infuriated with a result, and Everton manager as that. Absolutely appalling.

We can't stay up with this home form;

Everton 0-1 Fulham
Everton 0-1 Wolves
Everton 0-1 Arsenal
Everton 1-2 Luton Town

^ I've asked before, but does anyone know if we've ever lost 4 home games on the spin at Goodison since the Prem started?

Look at the opposition there too - there's 9 points there we've absolutely pissed away.

Does my head in what we've become. Commentator kept saying during Forest vs Brentford how Brentford losing to Everton was a real shock to the system etc.

Since Koeman, and Allardyce, Benitez and Dyche we've become proper no marks of the league. And we have this manager setting us up to not lose at home to Luton Town.
Agreed. I never had us down to beat Brentford. I was a fan of dyche last year though saying stuff like ‘his draws kept us up, in the end Chelsea, Spurs, they were a vital 2 points. Even if we would have drew them three games, we would now be three points better off. If you can’t win, don’t lose.

Wolves beat us by breaking, no closing down to stop the cross and no marking on the talk striker in the box. Fulham scored because nobody followed the man at the back post. Luton scored because of two set pieces, one of which a man was unmarked and another Ashley Young took an hour to clear. These are mistakes. Even if these games would have finished 0-0 we would now be three points better off. Simply put st the moment, it’s not good enough.

We don’t have the money to sack him and his staff, we don’t have the money to bring in a new manager and his staff and back them. It’s a total mess, before we spend another penny on a manager we need the whole system at the club gutted. Until that happens no matter who we get they will fail.

Been mentioned for a while now the goals conceded is the worry. One thing I expected from Dyche was to make us difficult to score against. Nothing of the sort just as bad as previous seasons. The back line has been awful for seasons be it structurally or individual mistakes. That's the detail I was hoping that would be sorted. Until that story changes we will be in relegation fights

He's clearly got us set up a lot more openly to get people forward and create chances. And we have been creating more than the opposition in most games. There's just no clinical ruthlessness to this team.

His other way of playing is what we saw in the arsenal game. And that's awful.

It would be nice if he found a balance between the two but I'm not sure he ever will ..
