I would assume our xG is reduced in those matches...

We'll be in the bottom three. Our opportunity to accumulate points against the bottom half of the table (which we are firmly entrenched in, obviously) ends this Saturday. We've wasted that opportunity by not having a striker at the beginning of the season, and then just plain incompetence this past weekend.
2 games we didn’t start with a “striker”. We were 2 nil down before DCL went off vs Villa so made zero difference.

It’s a really crap excuse and isn’t valid like it was last season.

And there it is!

Spot on mate, look at what we celebrate now its pathetic and quite frankly disrespectful to our fan base who many travel the length and breadth of the country to watch us home and away.

I feel sorry for some of our fan base who have never seen us win anything apart from a game of football and even that's becoming few and far between.
Can you imagine using this as a "Bragging right" I despair.

Sad times mate, how far we have to fall to even consider this as a good thing!

Do you really believe that. Houghton’s football at Brighton was horrendous,
Potter improved it straight away,
They were seen as a relegation team, he got them from 17th to 15th,
Then they finished 16th like you said.
Dyche things he isn’t doing anything wrong,
He’s blaming the players,
Bringing up XG. Dyche will never get top half as an Everton manager.

Potter had a lot worse players at Brighton,
But he had a plan to improve and
Move forward. Dyche’s football ain’t doing that

Potterball finished 15th, 16th then 9th with Brighton so ultimately they gave him 3 seasons.

He'll have not lasted 3 seasons at this club neither would he have coped with our fans when he bemoaned a few boos from the Brighton home fans one game.

I see little sense in changing manager at this point - things will only really improve once there is a culture shift from the top of the club. Whilst Kenwright and soon to be 777 are around - the fans and players will continue to go through the motions and that will translate into what we're seeing on the pitch.

Its Dyche or bust at this point.

For my sins, when I'm not watching the Blues I watch Wrexham.
The spirt, the effort and the energy that I see from Wrexham players is incomparable with what we see at Goodison. Yet the individuals at Goodison are clearly 'superior footballers' to the Wrexham players, and probably earning 10 x as much.
On Saturday whilst we were watching that dross, Wrexham fought back against Crewe, from 0-1 from1-2 and from 2-3 to gain a draw, and all with 10 men. That would simply be inconceivable with our lot.
If Dyche can't get them to perform he MUST go.

True but the season prior he got Brighton 16th in which his situation was the exact same as Dyche is currently - high xG but not getting the results.

Brighton kept faith in the manager then the following season got 9th. Whats to say keeping faith in Dyche wont yield a similar scenario next season ?

That was his first season. We've been here before. The transformation of that team from hughton's style of football to his was staggering. So much so that i found myself watching Brighton as much as Everton purely because of the football they played.
Your stubborness to still give that fella an ounce of credit is as bizare as your sycophant one to dyche and previously benitez. Amusing though.

OK guys, after the Bournmouth match these are our next home league games which will take us through to the middle of February;
Brighton
Man U
Newcastle
Chelsea
Man City
Villa
Spurs

Anyone think that we'll be above the bottom 3 after that lot?

Highlights how Dyche and the players have let us down when playing the 'easier' teams.
We’ve had one of the easiest starts for years and we’ve messed up big time.

Sweet baby Jesus.

Its gonna be March till I next see us win a home game????????????

I'm not sure what will happen results wise, but evidentially, when other teams make the running, we have done better.

The expectation for us to be "bossing the game" against so-called lower teams often leads to our downfall.

Essentially, we are crap, we know we are, but we put up more of an effort when we don't have to be the team pressing to win.

Because he’s followed barely staying up by overseeing the single worse start to a home campaign
