Would you shift to man to man or stick with a zonal system? I'd prefer man to man.
I don’t know. I think stats wise zonal seems superior once the players are drilled in it. I think Ancelloti was zonal and I think (could be wrong) our stats improved dramatically. But maybe we didn’t keep as many people in the box which stopped the short corner routines.

The only change I would make to the starting 11 from Saturday is to drop young for patto, but I wouldn’t mind if he just leaves it as is after that performance, as we should have beat them about 7 nil.

No injuries from the internationals (zzzzzzzz) would be nice too.

Dyche really needs to sort out the narrow defending of corners and set pieces though - Bournemouth got in and did us a couple of times again just like the chance Luton scored from - we have far too many players central in the box getting in each others way and leaving the flanks, baffling.

They’ll pick up the numerous opposition players lingering around the edge of the box. Maybe even have someone on the halfway line to at least give the appearance of the threat on the counter.
Does any other team defend corners like Everton? Everyman in the box?
Yeah, I think he is under the impression we're playing Pulis' Stoke every week so the ball is going to be lumped in.

It's actually another thing I recall Moyes getting moaned about - not having a man free for a counter.

Absolutely, we are generally far more organised (set pieces aside) and I no longer hate every single player which is a good sign. Branthwaite, McNeil, Garner, Onana, Harrison and DCL are all playing to a good level under Dyche. DCL was the best I have seen him on Saturday.
Yes, I think Dyche has managed DCL extremely well. He never looked like getting fit under Benitez and Lampard.

I think it was Pep who said that set pieces should be treated like a game of chess, you should have a basic setup with attacking options working from it ready to breakout from all angles.

We're not bad on transition to be fair and we are beginning to score goals.

We've scored 7 in our last four games, 10 if you want to throw Villa in there!

But where are the signs of improvement Sean? lol

We will get odd results here and there playing Dycheball but over a 38 game season I just don't see it as a sustainable way of playing, it's just too easy to play against. We face a tough run of fixtures and it will be a real test of everyone, if we can pick some points up then fair play to him. We will see.

It depends on how you want to look at it mate.

3 wins in the last 4 games, is great, long may it continue.
7 points from 8 games this season is relegation form, we are on course for 35/36 point season with our easiest games been and gone.
Zero points from Fulham Wolves and Luton at home is beyond criminal.

There are areas to improve for sure, the areas id look at are actually the stereotypical areas mate - people assume with Dyche. Not conceding and overall protection. We need to turn losses into draws in my opinion. Definitely areas to work on.

To be honest under Dyche we've played more expansively and with more threat then under any other manger since Silva, i really enjoyed watching us play, at Brentford, First half Vs Luton and at the weekend.

I dont think Dyche ball is a thing to be honest - what is it and what it supposed to mean?
