Hopefully a chapter on XG!
Critically thinking it’s not just their average Xg you have t consider the teams they have faced so until 19 games have been played we will get a fairer picture. I hasten to add that withstanding injuries the 1st team and bench since mid September has looked as strong as it has for a long time and we have had 3 wins in 4. It will be interesting to see what results can be accomplished between now and Christmas if everyone stays fit.
Hopefully a chapter on XG!
The irony is you think you're reeling people in when dyche has really reeled in the XG disciples.
Not at all mate. Just having a bit of fun. I defo don’t want to convince anyone, you pay your money and take your chances.
I don’t blame anyone for having a winge and a moan on Dyche,. Everton have done a number on supporters over the last couple of years and it’s understandable that, that’s the default position across a number of aspects at the club.
There isn’t any patience out there or tolerance. That’s sound and fair enough!
You know my take!
Not really a moan either way. Though he has got the topic onto chances created than points on the board against 5 of the bottom 7. Great swerve. I dont think we've played particularly poor but only one stat matters for a club like Everton right now. Points on the board. Personally i think he had a bit of a nerve going on the defensive before bournemouth with 4 points from 21. Happy to stick with him. But own you're sh!t start instead of blaming the players fans etc.
I’m not stressed at all about 7 points from 8 games mate, wasn’t swerving that at all, it’s a non issue for me early doors.
We had 15 points at the start of our 21st game last season - am I going to blink with 7 in 8 considering the above, via not having a fit striker and mini injury crises for most of the games- no!
Looking forward to the games ahead, it’s a great challenge and we should relish them coming!
I was talking about Dyche swerving it in his press conference. He seemed more interested in XG. The players. The fans....everyone other than sean dyche.
Im slightly concerned about 7 points from 24 given the fixtures so far. Its a fail.

Sheff Utd - 2.87 goals per game XG Against (Our XG was 2.59 against them)
Bournemouth - 2.60 (our XG was 2.49)
Luton - 2.31 (our XG was 2.90)
Wolves - 2.15 (Our XG was 1.34)
Fulham - 1.92 (Our XG was 2.73)
Villa - 1.77 (Our XG was 0.63)
Brentford - 1.39 (our XG was 1.90)
Arsenal - 0.98 (Our XG was 0.34)
We average 2.19 XG for over the season so far
We have underperformed in XG in 5 of our 8 games!
(Our only 2 wins have came when we have overperformed against the teams average XGA), the only other over performance was Fulham on the opening day
Didn't notice myself mate, what was it he was asked about points and talked about XG - presume that was pre Bourmouth.
Personally id like to see us be a bit more pragmatic and pick up a few draws, Fulham and Wolves were annoying - because we deserved three points and should have left with at least 1, leaving with 0 shouldn't happen. That would be one of my critique - and i actually have a few.
But you know what, we always do better against tougher teams then we often do against weaker ones, think Sheff Utd at home under Carlo, Norwich under the FSW, Southamton under Lampard and Luton under Dyche. Its a real Achilles heel under these players. Personally feel its teams sitting back and we cant break them down on the front foot, then get picked off.
We often do better when teams go out us, space is created etc - none of the teams we have coming up will be sitting back asking us to break them down that for sure, so we should get a bit of space to play in - im looking forward to them, like i say we have to look at it as a challenge and opportunity - if we ever want to recover and improve..
