His use of subs (or non-use) is dismal. It's a severe limitation because he's so obsessed with 'safety first'.

The gameplan today had been spot on but how Young wasn't given help - either by getting Patterson on instead of Harrison or taking Young off - was ridiculous.

He just isn't going to change, and it's why he is what he is and always will be.
I'll take a point, but it's frustrating as his indecisions will cost us again and again when he's done everything else right.

If it’s working don’t change, until it’s not working then it’s too late

As i keep on saying it's baffling. I am so pleased with what Dyche has done but this 90 minute sub thing is spoiling what could be a great job. We had players dead on their feet whilst Brighton introduced fresh legs. Manic. 2 points lost through it.

Interesting post match interview from de zerbi when asked what he thought of Everton. In a complimentary way he said "they have found their style"

I thought today we were very sean dyche's burnley. I'll take it for now as i cant contradict myself when ive stated its all about survival.

Scary long term mind.

…he’s working with the players he has at his disposal.

It wasn’t 2 points lost through subs though, was it?

The same deflection could have easily happened to any of our subs.

He will have us comfortably mid table despite not having a pot to piss in.

After the last few years I’m not sure why that is scary.

The worry is the points deduction if it comes. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

The PL are after it. And they desperately need a win. I doubt they get a full 12, but ultimately we could still be in for a very tight run in - probably through little fault of the team this time.

We are six points clear and our points per game rate is improving, I don’t see the issue.

This could end up being the lowest combined points total of the bottom 3 in PL history imo.

But the goal was a complete fluke.

They didn’t have shot after shot on our goal prior to it. We could have easily seen the game out were it not for that.
I feel like we could have been more proactive with our subs to try to take advantage of the opportunities we had to counter attack. They were leaving gaps but we weren't able to play the right pass at the right time. Maybe some fresh legs and a change could have helped that.

I've not said the goal was not a fluke, that's not my point. We needed fresh legs to counter Brightons changes. We had players out there finished. Either you make subs or you don't but leaving it until 90 minutes every game is just unfathomable, makes no sense.
