This thread was a lot more fun when it was people saying ‘I was wrong, fair play Dyche lad’ rather than people saying ‘I was right look at me!’
Tell you what mate, its worth going back to the earlier games of the season and looking at the sort of replies people were getting who were defending Dyche at that point. That might give some context about why people might be a little bit more unforgiving about their "I was right, you were wrong" stances right now.

I got plenty of crap for sticking by him myself, look at the very first post in this thread getting laugh reacts for me suggesting he could get us midtable with a few signings 🤣

I stuck by him all the way, criticised at times, but I could see what he was trying to do the whole time except Villa, Luton second half and Arsenal where I felt he got it wrong.

Doesn’t mean I need a medal for ‘being right’ or I should give grief out to other posters. Let’s face it, if we hadn’t put the ball in the net a few times against Brentford and Bournemouth in amongst losses against Liverpool, Luton and Arsenal he probably would’ve been sacked and I’d argue deservedly so because it’s a results business and if the results start to drop off again we won’t ’be right’ anymore about Dyche even though I really admire what he’s done with the players and tactics we’re employing.

Some of us have been happily consistent. Whilst i actually like him as a person i just dont think hes good, exciting or suited to us if we are in any way serious about getting back to where we belong.

Ok, let's assume we are "serious about getting back to where we belong", are you saying we should sack Dyche?

Good to see some own their pant pissing. Enjoyable to watch others squirm with realising THEY are part of the Everton problem after 8 years of hounding managers until they’re sacked.

We lost control of the fanbase and let the entitled, angry, thick become the tail that wags the Everton dog. We must be the shears that cuts that tail off. I’m not sure where I’m going with this analogy but it’s turned out pretty gruesome.

@Goat is a shar pei.

Agreed, have to be careful thinking anyone is right, if we lose every game from now to mid Jan the noise will start again.

What he has done is shown we can win games on the trot, which has relaxed the whole atmosphere and hopefully has earned him the credit to let's see where we get to. Fingers crossed he is here for a few seasons to come as it will show we aren't in crisis mode and we are steadily improving. Like Moyes, Dyche can set a base level in terms of player core values and attitudes, with a good set of hard working professionals for the next person to come along. Hopefully we don't piss it up the wall again by going after highly paid mercenaries.

Today will be our 20th game of the season in all comps.

We’ve already won 11 games, so even if we don’t win today we’ll still have a win percentage of 55% for the season. 60% if we win today.

You’d have been laughed off the forum if you suggested those levels before the season started.
