Son, Kulu, Brennan Johnson, Richarlison, Poro and Maddison are all walking into our team, Vicario is competing with Pickford, actually I like that Saar as well - he’s going to develop.

Nah he’s a god keeper in my opinion mate, particuaRly like how he controlled his box.

From the Spurs team today, I’m taking Poro, Kulu, Richarlison, Son, Johnson, to start for us. Sarr and the keeper I’d take to develop and challenge.

If Dyche can stick with and develop Patterson then I'd say:

Pickford
Mykolenko
Branthwaite
Tarkowski
Patterson
Onana
Garner
McNeil

Gives us 8/11 players for the next few years.

Right Wing, the Doucoure role and Centre forward positions need improvement.

If we can bring in or develop players for those 3 positions we'll not be far away from a european place each season...providing we have high potential squad players outside of the eleven.

Hes doing a terrible job, only 2 points off the same total Lampard had last season.

HoHoHo Merry Bantmas.

Table is wrong. We’re on 26. UTFT

I think he’s doing a great job overall. Can he take us towards challenging for honours? I’m not sure, but for where we are and the situation we’re in (off the pitch in particular) I think he’s doing well.

Also this post is written under the influence of 10 San Miguel. May delete tomorrow with beer fear

On what basis are you saying that? Since Dyche came in, Doucoure has arguably been our most crucial player and he has 6 goals this season from central/attacking midfield, making him our top goalscorer.

He has the same amount as Cole Palmer for example who is one of the standout players in the league even if it is in a weak Chelsea side, but we are only ahead of them by 4 points (ignoring the deduction) so it's not like there is a massive gulf between us and them.

At a guess, on the basis he's 30 years old and at a point in his career where the injuries become longer and more frequent.
It makes sense to look to bring someone in now, not wait until the need is dire

Yes, this.

I can understand that logic, but by that thinking, the same should be said for Tarkowski who is 31.

I think both will be capable of another 2+ years for us, but do appreciate the need to plan for the future too.

CBs are a bit different though. 30 is the peak, accumulated enough knowledge that they rely on their experience above their physical skills.

But yeah, a well run team would start looking at potential signings that would be good to go in about two or three years

I suppose the big question to ask is, has the team improved in his year in charge? In my book it has, very much so. I don't see him as a long term answer, but, as much as he frustrates me at times, I think he is the perfect man for the job, in the current circumstances.
True.,.. but he hasn't yet had the time to show what he could do.
Plus, without the points deduction, look what a turnaround it is. Possibly, much more than midtabledom.
His change in subs and tactics the last few games, suggest he's getting to grips with the squad.
I'm happy for him to stay, as long as progression stays.
