Spot on. We badly need the academy to step up and start producing players that can either come in and do a job for the first team or bring in a few quid from sales.
Performance of the academy of the last 5 years has been abysmal. I'd be be surprised if it isn't one of the lowest in the league for talent production
Something that get's overlooked is that we should make sure the coaches themselves are the best we can get to give these young lads a chance to progress. The backroom structure of the club from first team down always seems quite small/limited compared to many other clubs.

It really depends on how we're doing doesn't it? I don't like him but if we're doing quite well in the league and getting points - he should likely expect to stay, even if he's not "fashionable". Neither is Simeone for example but he wins games, that's the endgame of football in reality.
For sure, if hes still here in 2 years hes doing a good job and im sure we all hope thats the case.

My wider point was, would Dyche even still be here in 2 years, regardless of the owners.

Most Premier League jobs have an 18-month shelf life.
I think he will Goat, if he can keep us comfortably in the premier league until we get into the new stadium, I think 777 will be happy with that. It's if the club ever get ideas of doing better than surviving and if they get owners with money and ambition, that is when Dyche is no longer the man for the job.

Lets see if the club survives the next 2 years with these utter skint cowboys in charge, then take it from there.

If we get wealthy owners after the move to the Dock they will change Dyche in short order.
Maybe but if they do that just because Dyche isn't fashionable that would be a big mistake if he keeps improving us at the current rate. The definition of insanity is repeating the same actions again and expecting a different result. Our best period since the EPL began was with an unfashionable lower league type coach that we gave time to.

That's correct, but,we gave him time because we couldn't do anything else, if we are in a position to put more money into the team, with a view to becoming a force in the game once again then Dyche, or indeed Moyes, will not be the type of manager we are looking at. You can keep on repeating what you think all night, the likelihood is...big money owners come in, Dyche goes out. Whether you or I or any other blue think it is the right move to make is immaterial, that is what will happen.

Na he's boss won't happen
