2024/25 Sean Dyche

Ah, so because it’s your opinion that he’ll keep us up it’s guaranteed?
I’m feeling much better about it now then.
Good times.
Well seeing as it's November and not May and none of us are Nostrodamus, what choice do we have but our opinion? The stats and results patterns also suggest we aren't going down, hopefully that'll help you feel much better too matey.

Because it's my opinion. He's doing enough in the job to keep us up, as the results have shown.
20% win rate after more than 25% of the season, with a hugely generous set of early fixtures. It's hard to look at that and say the win rate will dramatically improve, especially since it'll definitely drop significantly by the end of the calendar year - probably to about 12-15%.

If it looks like it's going to be hard to turn things around now, just wait until we go on about five consecutive defeats in December.

There is absolutely nothing there to suggest performances or general form is set to turn. Going into 2025 on the back of a horrific return of probably fewer than 15 points across the first half of the season is a nightmare scenario.

He's on for about 7-10 victories across the entire season, so unless we get 15 draws we're almost nailed on to be fighting until the final day.

For the guys who take the environmental factors more into account and there seem to give Dyche a little more freedom, when do you expect to see us climbing the table? I don’t mean avoiding relegation - I mean actually climbing the table? A few have said it we have the 12th to 13th best squad EFC, ajd some have said they see us finishing about 12th.

When does the improvement in form begin which leads to this ascent? I completely understand why people aren’t happy when we have witnessed what we have with a not too difficult opening to the season, and less than expected points return. It hardly gives anyone hope for any other fixtures.

I just expect more of the same. Runs of crap form and runs of ok or decent form. It will include end of times moments like Saturday and then other times where we expect nada and pick up points. I've no idea when it will happen but so far it's been rubbish and we are still 4pts off the drop zone. He will stay until the new owners are actually in and ready to make a change OR if we drop into the bottom three and look in really danger of slipping behind those above. I think he will go because of the first reason either during this season or in the summer. Until then I still believe he has an utterly basic remit and is still achieving that.

It's a season where I have missed plenty games and not been overly bothered. I think I could probably do the season just checking the score and only start watching if we seem in danger. Very easy to say when I'm not having to pay to watch the dire football. I'm just waiting for the new owners and hoping they more importantly start making normal sensible decisions off the pitch and a decent appointment as manager, then I'll be fully engaged again and will enjoy watching things with hope of some steady progression and maybe even some pleasant surprises.

In my head we turn things around over a few years, so currently putting up with this guy who seems like he will do his job for now is not a big deal
