2024/25 Sean Dyche

We were 19th when he tookover and you, me and vast majority of Evertonians thought we were down that season.

We've made a profit every window since.

We're 15th now.

He'll be jibbed soon and we'll quickly see where this team are.

Definitely.

Id take the bad being 15th and not relegation.

15th after arguably the easiest set of opening fixtures anyone has had in the league. Looking at our upcoming run there’s almost zero chance we’re not in the bottom 3 by new year.

Unless of course the takeover is completed and we get someone new in. Still, it’s an absolutely horrid fixture run for a new manager. I fully expect Dyche to blow Wolves and the Derby then get the boot. I feel for whoever the new guy is.

I love how the players are that crap they can’t attack and it’s not on the manager

But they’re not that crap to keep it tight at the back (well apart from today) and that all the managers doing

I mean, lads, can we not see what he focuses on here?? Are you really that blind to how he has a manger approaches games

Well that's it mate, you can see he is limited. His main method of chance creation is pressuring in the final third, quick turnovers and set pieces. Effective but only takes you so far. Was hoping with players like Ndiaye and Lindstrom at his disposal we might see an evolution in our forward play. We did for 87 mins against Bournemouth.

The funny thing is, I think we'd have kicked on had we beat Bournemouth that day. But we didn't, we eff'd it up big time. But not because of Dyche's limited attacking coaching, but because of his very poor in game management and stubbornness.

It's weird actually, I can forgive him more when it's just a lack of ideas upfront, but literally throwing games away and not learning from it / being humble enough to say you got it wrong I can't forgive.

Happens mate.

Dyche rocked up with us 30th Jan with us in 19th with Arsenal X2 and Liverpool within the first 5 games.

Hopefully whoever replaces him can give us a lift and see us safe.

To progress Everton need a new manager but that new manager doesn't take this team from the bottom of the table until we bring in players who can make the difference in the final third. Same as Lampard.

We hire useless managers because the one before left us in the mire.

Hiring mid season limits available managers and people you can poach.

Im not saying Moshiri hasnt made a dogs dinner of this club but the managers are pure rank.
The club is on the bones of its arse.

I don’t think any of us truly realise the mess we’ve been in just to try and keep the lights on.

They have had to find a way to sign some players to give us a fighting chance to stay in the league but can anyone honestly say they’d keep more than 3/4?!

Bargain bucket squad, Netto manager, clubs leveraged up to its eyeballs and has no leadership. This only changes with the takeover. Why people are acting like this is all on Dyche I dunno, clearly need a figurehead.

Crap manager, needs to go, crap squad, most of which needs to go. The two are both true sadly. Wish it was going to be as easy as hiring someone new.

Of course he is.

Indicative of how much of a basketcase Everton are.

TFG were jibbing him for Rangnick before they walked away.

Dyche knows he's never getting beyond this season. Apparently he gets paid an extra year if sacked. The players know it.

Doesn't help does it?

TFG need to replace him but it's not happening until they're owners.

And I'm telling you folks - this team are taking our blood pressure to the max until April/May no matter the manager.

Because Mykolenko/Young are full backs, with a front three incapable of pace and/or scoring enough goals.

Sometimes football is a simple as that.
I get that....... but fresh blood can get more out of these players. I know we lost these games but......... 2 nil up against Bournemoth and 2 nil up against Villa away tells me there are goals in this team.To me , He has shored up the defence but has no clue to combine the 2 together. Like you said it's a matter of time.

He was a Nick Pope stoppage time save away from failing after 5 months? He’s a terrible manager. He’s had a lot of luck over the course of his time here.

He was mate. But he basically got us the points we got in that time after selling Gordon and only having DCL available for like 4 or 5 of the games, a fractured fan base at odds with the board, no last minute Jan signings to help. After Southampton beat us at home, I thought we'd be dead and buried by March.

So yes there was good luck involved, but there was also bad luck and terrible circumstances involved. So yes, he did do a good job.

We'll soon find out.

I think new manager bounce. Followed by scrap.

We stayed up because Leicester and Leeds were so grossly incompetent. That’s it.

I think we underrate our squad a little because of the managers weve hired.

I dunno mate. I think I'm dead on about our full backs, I don't think any manager is gonna get DCL and Beto bagging all the time. But our CBs and midfielders are mid-table quality.

Slight adjustment. It’s an average to poor squad with a poor > crap manager
