2024/25 Sean Dyche

We hire useless managers because the one before left us in the mire.

Hiring mid season limits available managers and people you can poach.

Im not saying Moshiri hasnt made a dogs dinner of this club but the managers are pure rank.
He’s hired the managers!

We’ve been financially poor for 3-4 years. No one with options is coming here.

Dyche sucks but even he admitted if things were going well, a club like Everton wouldn’t hire him.

We keep hiring and buying muck because that’s where we are.

Slight adjustment. It’s an average to poor squad with a poor > crap manager
It’s not mate, not at all.

People need to wake up to this. It’s geriatric, arguably the least athletic in the league and probably has the fewest players capable of ‘moments’ (dribblers/ball-strikers/pace merchants).

We’ve got McNeil and maybe Lindstrom who can kick a ball properly, we’ve got N’Diaye who can beat a man (I don’t think we’ve got any pace). We do have a bit of experience and ‘know how’ but that means nothing when you can’t influence games.

I get that....... but fresh blood can get more out of these players. I know we lost these games but......... 2 nil up against Bournemoth and 2 nil up against Villa away tells me there are goals in this team.To me , He has shored up the defence but has no clue to combine the 2 together. Like you said it's a matter of time.
There has potentially been goals in this team all season but they seem remarkably adept at making the wrong decision every single time a goalscoring chance is on the cards.

I'm all for a new manager with new ideas but if it's not combined with a half decent budget then they aren't getting much better from this team. Even our 'talisman' player Ndiaye struggles to hold down a place in most PL teams. As does most of our first choice in nearly every position.

Go and check my posts from July/August mate and I shared why we'd be in a scrap. Not really notradamus stuff. There's not the goals or pace in the team.
Not having it. This team could perform better under a competent manager. There are pace and goal issues, I agree, but this clown has talked them into this position from pre-season. He signed about 5 players in the Summer (alongside the other waster of a DoF). Why did he not address the pace issue ? The reason is, he has no interest in attacking. He is interested in not conceding and he no longer capable of even doing that. He needs binning before TFG have even taken their coats off.

Why? We finished 12th last season without the deduction. The only “decent” player we sold -Onana - was not getting picked by Dyche anyway. Why did you think a team that finished on 48 points would drop off so bad? Did you not think this manager could try and get 2 more points over the course of a season and maybe get us to 50 points? Hardly earth shattering.
Because it was a miracle as we know it mate. I'm not sure why such a miracle worker couldn't make another miracle to be honest but whatever.

I dunno mate. I think I'm dead on about our full backs, I don't think any manager is gonna get DCL and Beto bagging all the time. But our CBs and midfielders are mid-table quality.
DCL and Beto wont ever be prolific, they dont have to be though to have to just function in the team properly, like play to their strengths.
Get players in and around them, get to the byline and put decent crosses in.
Get runners from midfield
Work on the training ground to create space in dangerous areas
Dont hoof it from GK to DCL and hope we get the scraps
Get DCL to make runs off the shoulder of the CBs
Get Ndiaye to play just 10 yards away from to pick up any knockdowns
Get the FBS to create the width

Brighton have Danny bleedin Welbeck upfront and James Milner in midfield
Forest Have Chris Wood upfront
Fulham dont have a prolific striker

We stayed up because Leicester and Leeds were so grossly incompetent. That’s it.

We as a club were lucky for that. Dyche still came into a really bad situation mate. He gets credit off me for that. In equal measure, he gets criticism off me now because we should have got way more than 11 points from 13 games this season and we aren't in the mad situation we have been in the last 2 seasons.

Yes, the delusion is strong on here about this squad of players.

The footballing intelligence - to say nothing of the actual intelligence - of our players is Daily Sport level. Then there are the technical deficiencies, players who cannot pass a ball, finish one-on-ones, make simple tackles (like Tarkowski today)...

We're in for a very long six months or so.

That bold.

Hope you're right mate.

We'll soon find out.

My own view I've long shared on here is we're in a bad way until we add pace and goals.
