2024/25 Sean Dyche

Two years ago you'd have had us relegated if you'd had your way.

Dyche has kept us up for two seasons in a row while selling off our better players and using a squad of players the quality of which is the worst we've seen here for decades...and he had two points deductions to navigate through.

But yeah, let's have the new owners - who've proven what a 'kin basket case they are over the hiring and firing of managers at Roma - come in and get the next manager in when we need stability.
Think Pickford has kept us up not Dyche.

I honestly have no idea what you think you are doing.

Spoiling for fights.

Dave and the Dychettes.

Tell me what Premier League team would keep a manager who went 15 games without a win. Has only won 3 this season and 8 in a 12 month period.

….maybe one that had 2 lots of point deductions, a squad void of attacking quality, mediocre acquisitions, an absent owner, no monies and no Board.

We need to survive, then out with the old and in with the new but whoever comes in it’s going to be a major rebuild.

If they came out and praised a job that a manager who the whole fanbase wants sacking, that would really show them up as clueless morons.
It wouldn't be to praise him (though it should be given he's kept us up in the two most desperate seasons in our history) it would have been to ACKNOWLEDGE HIS EXISTENCE.

They still haven't done that yet. As said above Watts has just done things on the snide away from actually making a public statement about this manager. He needs to show some decency and respect and do that or I fear we have an utter 'kin plumb on our hands as a chairman.

Strike one for me right now as far as that feller is concerned.

I'm not mate. I just dont like injustice or disrespect - more so when its from a man unproven as being anything other than a new suit at the club in relation to a man who held this club together for the last 2 years on a budget of about minus £67 million.

His (Watts') first comment to the public should have been about the manager - telling everyone what he apparently told Dyche and his coaching staff in private.

Needs to clear his throat and go public otherwise the feller is damaged for me.

Watts is merely pulling a veil over the Dyche situation. There's more chance of Man City winning the league than there is of Dyche keeping his job. Dyche is being richly paid for his work - and his contract expires in the summer. The hope is that he can see it out and the club to safety. The reality is he has a cat's chance in Hell of staying on. Watts coming out with praise and platitudes would be merely giving a needless hostage to fortune.

Dyche is respected - his salary proves that. But he has no future here.

This is not the lad who works in the local butcher being frozen out by a new boss and thrown on to benefits. This is a multi-millionaire with an important job to do until his agreed lucrative contract runs out.

Dyche is a pro. He knows the score.

That’s one of my issues. After loans end and contracts expire, we have like 12 players left in the summer or something stupid like that.

We need to sign about 10 players in January/summer just to have a squad next season. Waiting until summer means whichever manager is coming in for the project, only has a preseason (likely without all the signings in by that point) to get a squad of players who don’t know each other working together in his plan.

Any players we try to sign in January will want assurances about manager and most likely won’t want to be playing Dycheball.

The sooner we get the manager in that’s going to be doing the rebuild the better, so he can get the current squad and January signings working as needed.
