His job is to keep Everton in the PL, not go and play silky football down at WHL.

He’s judged on games versus Bourmenmouth, Ipswich, Wolves, Brentford, Palace etc.

He kept us up in a season when most thought it impossible with 8 points deducted. The pressure on this club last season was off the charts.

Yes we have a fight on our hands but give me Dyche over Potter or some other name pulled me out of the air.

So these performances don't mean anything? It's not enough to pick up points only against the bottom 5. Won't keep you out of the relegation mix and we rarely get results in those games anyway.

How anyone is making excuses for this guy is beyond me. Walked into a mess and did an ok job last season but this is clearly only going one way. Better to get ahead of it before the situation becomes even more toxic.

Well he kept us up two seasons ago so deserved another shot
and last season kept us up again despite 2 points deductions so deserved another shot.
I presume that's why he's not been fired/

These are the more important games surely. These are the must wins then.

I have respect what he did in the 1,5 half years before this season and even more what he did with Burnley over many years.

I don’t expect beautiful football, I know the injuries are there, the squad is thin and not very good, finances are skint, while many teams around us last season can strengthen their squad.

But fed up that a manager doesn’t show ability to learn from mistakes, or adapt a game plan, being late at changes, plays players like Young, Doucoure and Keane despite bad performances over and over again and doesn't bring in some that can play at least a bit football... It's where he loses me.

Especially today, we looked very off apart from the moments Ndiaye and Lindström came in till 3:0.

But if he was a manager with more than one string to his bow he wouldn’t be OUR manager under the current conditions we face.


Leave him be. He gets us to 38-40 points by May and that should be enough to hobble into into the new stadium as aPL club.

Just watched this too. He goes on about ‘smelling’ the mentality in the air and not liking it. But he persists with Michael Keane whose body language whenever we go 1 down signposts another three conceded.

If he wants to change the mentality he has to stop selecting players with the wrong mentality and complaining about it. It’s a massive blindspot.

Nobody has requested silky football. Functional football where you dont get battered would be a start. Having a think about your tactics instead of flogging the same dead horse would be a start.

Hes not a tactics manager. He plays route one by and large. He’s a manager who focuses on defensive security (I know) and seizing moments in a game.

We cant be relegated in our first season in the new place. Lets hold on to him for one more season and aim for 38 points.

Well, it's another game where you've started the same 4 fellas who break moves down game after game after game. So, if your wondering why it's not working, look at your team selection.

Tuesday we need to see Dixon again, O'Brien, Armstrong, Beto and Lindstrom and Ndiaye from the start as they're going to need to get some momentum going.

Another pathetic, timid, weak, embarrassing show from 90% of them, which includes management.
