2024/25 Sean Dyche

2 years in a row he's decided to reintegrate Keane into the starting 11 in August and we've lost all 6 games.

There's no excuse for that level of incompetency. And there's no excuse for repeating the same mistakes.

He's making far too many basic tactical errors for this level. And that's before even considering his subs. We had today's debacle, bringing on Young over Dixon against league 2 opposition, and waving the White flag against Brighton by bringing on Holgate for Harrison.

These are not the decisions who someone who is good enough to manage Everton.

And the thing that annoys me the most is that he doesn't take the responsibility afterwards. It's always excuses and deflection. That's not the mentality of a top manager.

I completely agree. He hasn't got the balls to manage us.

Well.

He brought our best player off for Abdoulaye Doucoure, a man who doesn’t know what his feet are doing at the best of times. This meant that we relinquished any control of the midfield.

Then he brought on Beto for DCL. This left us without any focal point to win headers or hold the ball up, which means Bournemouth could play on the half way line and camp us in our own half.

He left Garner on the bench when we were crying out for fresh legs as Tim was knackered. He also left O’Brien on the bench despite their first two goals showing that we could not deal with crosses coming into the box. The winning goal came from a back post header where Keane was caught ball watching and letting his man ghost in at the back stick.

He used 2 out of the 5 subs available to him, whereas their manager used all 5 subs with loads of time remaining. They basically had half a fresh team going into the last 20 minutes and our players were running on fumes, while players sat on the bench and watched.

So there’s all that, I suppose.
It wasn't just that Ndiaye was our best player, he was massively supporting Myko on the left side and winning it in their half

Dyche changed that for Doucoure

Then, to nobody's surprise, their attacks down the right cut us wide open, Myko is left isolated and panicking as the last line of defence and the game is thrown away.

I could live with the Beto for DCL switch if he had left ndiaye on. But having already brought doucoure on, we needed someone high up who can at least win a duel and keep hold of the ball so it didn’t keep coming back at us. So bringing Beto on was a huge mistake at that point as neither him or doucoure can hold it up, half the time they can’t control it.

He made a mistake in taking Ndiaye off and taking away that outlet, but compounded it by taking off our other outlet - few mins later.

Now the question is would O Brien with his 2m no idea what his size in feet and inches have helped clearing these crosses.

Half the forum were screaming for Beto to start the other day for his effort.
He can’t hold the ball up. I think Chermiti is better suited to the way we play and Beto will be well down the pecking order when he and Broja are fit. DCL and Ndiaye has the potential to be a good combination.

For me the interview after the game was the worst. To admit that once it was 2-1 he could see it happening, and yet did nothing about it but shout at the players is not borderline negligent, its just plain negligent! He could have bought some time with a like for like sub or pulled Doucoure back - anything, for gods sake how much does he get paid to make those decisions.
He needs to go, and he needs to go now. Don't really care who replaces him (Bar BFS) they could not do worse.
That defeat is 100% on him.

He's a defenses/negative manager and yet we have conceded 10 goals in 3 games. He is also a reactive manager instead of proactive.,
That would be worse than Chris Wilder last year, I mean Sheffield was not good enough for the league, but conceding 104 goals is still awful.
