2024/25 Sean Dyche

Thinking of Bullard git me thinking of that funny story about Ray Parkour for England under Hoddle.

Hoddle brought in that faith healer weirdo Eileen Drury (think that was the name) and she was doing all these energy psychic reading on players, grabbing their head, when she did it with Parlour he said "short back and sides thanks love"... Hoodie never called him up again after it.
Digressing slightly, but there’s also another one about Parlour when Southgate took over at Middlesbrough and was telling the team (having previously been teammates) to feel free to call him ‘gaffer’ or ‘boss’ or ‘just Gareth or whatever they’re comfortable with’, so Parlour in front of the squad asked ‘what about big nose?’
Once again never to be seen in the 1st team again before being sent on loan 🤣

I think there will be massive pressure on him if he fails to take a minimum of 4 points from the next 3 games but ideally 6. Anything less than 4 after palace at home and I think he loses confidence.

Really he needs to win at villa away to make the 3 points back that he chucked in the last game and whatever way you look at it, those were on the lack of changes to tiring legs so that's on the manager.

Agree, save the payoff money and let him see it out, also I really don't want Moyes back just because it's the easy option.

Although I’d be his strongest advocate, it’s a bad organisation that doesn’t look at it. Particularly with being at ground zero with a lot of contracts and BMD and additional resources.

It’s a real fork in the road moment. In terms of committing to the next medium term three years.

I have not seen one person put any genuine reason for having Moyes back, we really need to move on when we hit BMD and look towards a new era. Maybe its just me but I don't understand this need from fans to turn the clock back all the time its seriously tiresome.

Moyes would be my only alternative if im being honest mate.

The state of the club at the moment a coach isnt going to suffice in my opion - the job is bigger and currently has bigger demands then just a coach.

Like him or not, i think Dyche has fronted an empty vessel and has to front a lot of the off the field stuff and manage crisis's as a result - i think he has done that with great dignity.

If he leaves, the role at the moment requires a football manager, the structures of the footballing Dept need to safegaurded as much possible from the rest of the manure show and the role requires a holistic approach.

The role requires an old school football manager who can build a club, there are very few, Dyche has done it and so has Moyes - so he would be my pick.

Sure if we could offer the manager every support of a well run, lean, modern organisation, i think we could go for a coach - but we're not there and unlikely to be in the next year in my opinion.

I'm not expecting the ownership situation to be resolved before BMD.

The job is bigger then just the first team in my opinion.

The job is only the first team, its not the managers job to 'build a club' that's why we have a DoF and Moyes hates working with them.

I understand that mate - in all honesty i think the job requires more at the moment - i dont think a coach cuts it.

Its why i say if we were a well run organisation a coach is fine - i dont think we are.

I think the job needs a football manager as i describe.

We are empty vessel fc at the moment.

Yet we can still manage to strike up deals with huge companies like Red Bull.

Need to see what happens with the takeover, Textor is being linked with names like Fonseca and Ferreira.

Just my take mate - i dont believe Textor can finalise and i think its a bit of smoke and mirrors - though i now there have been talks - that's just personal analysis.

There are good people at the club - just very poor leadership and everything stems from the top - we are merely operating, but there are no governance structures or strategic planning, its why we've lurched from crisis to crisis with no one fronting bar our existing manager. There is no plan bar operating or no one to go to with a plan who can sign off for the medium to long term.
