I've been saying on here for a while OBrien was only signed because of Textor, and was never a Dyche signing.

Textor signed him for Lyon, and is sharing on his own Instagram wishing OBrien well when the team news at Everton is released. He's now openly saying how he likes how Dyche has OBrien.

We tried for Minteh because of Textor too, and have Mangala because of him.

If he's that involved now in transfers, imagine when/if he's owner.

A lot of unknowns though mate.

Is he suggesting players or insisting, big difference as you know, is he going off his own bat or is he using recommendations on players through his multi club system if scouts and DoFs, again big difference which is guiding him.

Did you mean the lad at Lyon btw rather than Minteh?

With him not being here yet, it's hard to tell if he's an interfering owner, or if he's simply an owner in waiting trying to help out in the only way he can do before he takes over.

Oh for sure O'Brien is on him, if/when he buys us the lad will have been at 4 clubs Textor either owns or has involvement with - he was on loan at molenbeek too i believe.

Need to Check where Textor was 24 years ago tbh and if O'Briens ma was in the same place.

No we tried Minteh - just like Textors Lyon did. Lyon also bid - before us and Brighton but the player didn't fancy it.

Didn't know that mate.

Maybe as I said he's using the network then to identify players and depending on price which club best matches is the one that goes in.

O'Brien, the ex forest lad and Minteh though, not exactly Moshiri level dross and all three are actually positions we badly needed players in

Yeah, Lyon agreed £40m for him but he wouldn't go.

After that, suddenly Everton are trying to wrangle him in a deal with Calvert-Lewin, which in my view would have happened out of necessity if Brighton didn't wade in. Newcastle would have paid what we/Calvert-Lewin wanted if it allowed us to pay what they needed for Minteh.

Lyon even bid for Godfrey but he wanted Atalanta.

We've also just signed an academy lad and loaned him straight to Lyon.

Yes, a little concerning no matter what you think of the current manager in charge, as it looks like he’s gonna go full Todd on us.

I kinda get the feeling dyche has had enough of him already, feels like he’s already given up with the crank yank.

His refusal to use O’Brien at all speaks volumes to me.

Tbf O'Brien doesn't get used by the Ireland squad either, who are total turd btw
