It’s a forum , surely this is what you discuss in the ale house after the match ?Yes, he has had a whole career in football but takes tactical instruction from the GOT forum
Well he got 13 wins last season. He got Burnley into Europe too so not sure thats true about only 5/6 wins a season.
I agree we were poor in the first half yesterday. We've played well this season though and got beat. I don't really care about style of play though if it brings results. It hasn't so far this season until yesterday but it's still very early days.
I was watching Wolves in the last few minutes against Liverpool yesterday passing it around the keeper and centre backs when they needed a goal. Passing football isn't always better.
The fact that he could win 7 on the bounce and you'd still want him gone suggests to me that you're not being objective about the job he has done.
Why aren't you a PL footy manager? It’s a forum , surely this is what you discuss in the ale house after the match ?
Discuss the game you’ve just seen , things you thought went , things you would have done differently?
I’ve been watching and playing football for longer than Dyche has been on this earth , and unsurprisingly I’ve accumulated a fair amount of understanding of the game to reinforce my opinions. Same as the rest of us .
He will probably still keep us up as he can grind out results when needed. And our squad is better then 4 or 5 others in the league.
But if we are to progress long term he's not the man to do that. The new owners will know that also . But id expect him to be here for a good few months yet
The end game is what both sides of the debate want. Dyche is going imminently and when he does it’s because we’re safely in the hands of new owners who will be able to select a new manager and give him a squad that’s not in immediate relegation trouble and funds to back him in the wid is thanks to the efforts made in previous windows on the PS&R position. Hopefully the fanbase can come back together behind the new owners and new manager in the new stadium.
It's a narrative and a perception on the "right way" to play football.
Brighton got found out yesterday by a side that killed them on their mistakes from the back, which we failed to do in we're being honest. Not a bad word said.
Gary O'Neil post match was getting praise for the way he's got them playing - "You'll be alright this season".
Flip that on Dyche and the questions are "Do you worry about your job?"
There was a point last season when we were in form where all the stat heads were heaping praise on him and saying if he was Stefan Dychisberger with a German accent and cap he be talked about as a talented manager.
But no, they'll give column inches to a 32 year old who promoted a 2nd tier German minor
What a vacuous and childish response. Why aren't you a PL footy manager?
Had to smile last night, had a peak on the Palace forum and some wanted Glasner sacked and to appoint Dyche if he's freed up here.
Hang on? You mean a handful of games at the end of last season wasn’t a definitive sample to conclusively prove that Glasner is the type of manager we should have gone for?
My view has always been the same, it’s a tough job managing outside the sky six. Injuries, refereeing decisions, selling your better players, everything is against you and even managers with tactical plans that work in other leagues they eventually get adapted to in the prem. Guardiola is so good because he changes nearly every season. That’s why I don’t like jumping at the newest shiny ball, most of them have either been relegated or fired now.
Obviously we haven't done well but given that we won 5 out of our last 8 league games last season this isn't really true, is it?
